Looking at going the day before Thanksgiving through the following Tues. How are the crowds that time frame? Do the parks close early for Thanksgivng? Any tips for that time of year?

Thanks!

We went last Thanksgiving flew down the friday before went to SeaWorld that day and hit MK that sat. before and it was crowded. There was a increase in people bieing its a holiday and no school.Hey i always go during the summer and figured we would run into crowds.. If u are used it the crowds then it shouldnt bother u. Went to Sea World Thanksgiving day and there werent crowds at all it was great.. I'd say go and have some fun..

Thanksgiving day is crouded (level 7 or 8 on that scale thing). We went this past year and spend thanksgiving day at AK. We are also going this coming year.

Tips: go around the large crouds.

make ADR's

get a fast pass.

We went this year and had a great time! We left home the Tuesday before and came home the Monday after. We used Tour Guide Mike and I can not reccommend his service highly enough... We visited the parks he reccommmended and RARELY waited... I am sure it was busy , but the way we worked our itinerary it really wasn't bad! The only harrowing experience was exiting the world showcase after the Candlelight Processional. I would go again at Thanksgiving in a heartbeat! LOVED IT!

We came to Disney this year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving for a short trip. We checked in at the GF about 11:00 AM on Sat and did not do the parks that day. We swam, rode the monorail, went to Boardwalk, etc. Then on Sunday was the first MVMCP. We arrived at MK before opening and had ridden EVERYTHING we wanted several times by noon. We went back to the room for a rest and came back to the party that afternoon. It was the best MK day we have ever had - crowds light and weather perfect. A CM at the gate said that Thanksgiving day thru Sat had been packed, but they were expecting things to slow down on Sun. Like I said, we only did a short two days at MK and Sun was perfect. Monday got a little more crowded and b/c we had done the party the night before, we didn't get up first thing and get a lot of riding in. But with good "fast pass management", we still had a great day. We are planning to go again around that time, but not on the actual weekend of Thanksgiving - just the week after. By the way, I enjoyed your trip reports so much! We also stayed at Sugarloaf - only for three nights though. It was great - I think I remember that you are from GA - so are we! Merry Christmas!

For the last few years we have gone for Thanksgiving week. We arrive on Wednesday before and leave on Monday after. It is pretty crowded, but we went to each park and did pretty much all of the rides. Be sure to get to the park at opening and use Fast Pass wisely. We rushed around a little more than I like to at the beginning of the day to get in the "big-line" rides, then we slowed down once we got the "requirements" done! We had a great time.
