How crowded is "Jersey Week"?

Didn't know when I booked my vacation that I overlapped "Jersey Week" - didn't even know what it was at first. :confused3

Anyone know if that will raise crowd levels significantly? I knew it was Super Soap Weekend, but we were going to avoid MGM on those days. We can't avoid all the parks if it's Jersey Week.

Anyone know the exact days either?

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

Well, I was there last year - also unknowingly. The crowds were a lot worse than I expected, but no where near as bad as early June.

Typically it's the first full week of November (11/6 through 11/12 this year). We went during Jersey Week a couple of years ago and the crowds were lighter than the summer months. (And since we're from NJ, it was nice to unexpectedly bump into some familiar faces in the parks. :) )

We were there a few years ago during Jersey Week and didn't even know about it and didn't notice any increase in crowd level. As one of the above posters noted, it's not nearly as bad as June and the weather is much more managable...don't worry about it and have fun :)

Jersey week is the best !!!!

The crowds aren't bad at all....

We were there last year for Jersey week, and didn't have any problems what so ever. The weather is beautiful, warm days and cool nights.

Enjoy !!!

I went last year during Jersey Week, and I could definately tell there was an increase in crowds as opposed to the days before. But even so, it was not bad at all and we had a great time. :) Would not hesitate again to go that week.

I think the boards here overblow the whole "Jersey" week thing - probably because of the typical negative stereotypes associated with "Joisey". But we are a fun bunch, really! :teeth: :teeth:

We went twice during the first week Nov.(2002 and 2003) and liked it low crowds and still good weather but this year they changed that week and up till Nov. 27th to regular season. It was always value season before.

When we have gone to WDW in the past we went in late July/early August. We are going this year November 8- November 12, Jersey week! I had never heard of it til recently. Will the crowds be a lot less crowded than the times we went in July and August? Or not that much smaller?

Crowds have increased some in the first two weeks of Nov. due to SSW,F & W festival and Jersey Week(I'm guessing that is why they changed it to regular season)but thae crowds should still be much lighter than late July/early August.

One thing to keep in mind too this year is that Veterans Day is on Nov. 11th, so that will add a little more to the crowds along with Super Soap, F&W, etc..

Having said that, I know of 5 less Jerseyites that will be there because they changed their vacation this year for FREE FOOD. :cool1:

I wonder who those people could be? :scratchin

DH and I were there last year 2004 during Jersey Week. There were definately bigger crowds, but nothing unmanagable, especially with fast pass. The restaurants seemed very crowded at dinner time, so get those ADR.

This year we are going mid-Sept. From what I'm reading, crowds should be light. Stay away hurricanes!

Went last year (had never heard of "Jersey Week" when I booked the trip) and it wasn't that bad. I never felt it was super crowded and with proper use of fast pass lines were fine. Good luck and have fun!!
