We got to WDW al the time in Nov when crowd levels are great. maybe a 15-30 min wait. How bad is DL in June? End of May?

The answer is a definite "it depends".

Probably it will not be that crowded at the end of May or early June. However, there are some forces at work which are increasing June crowds.

One is the growth in AP holders now reaching 1,000,000. See New Al Lutz: AP Holders Nearing 1 Million, Captain EO to Return in Feb

Last June things got pretty swamped after June 12. See Al Lutz June 16 Update - Nightastic Crowds.

Also, the new World of Color show to open in late April will draw large crowds to DLR and especially DCA in May and June. See Al Lutz - New DLR Prez, World of Color to open April 24, Passes needed to see WoC?. Captain EO will draw crowds to DL itself.

Also to keep in mind are grad nights - "The Scoop on Grad Nights at DLR in May and June" - www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2298400

Finally, late May and early June are off-season at DLR which usually has more downsides at DLR than WDW. See "What You Should Know About Off-Season at DLR" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=18462889

Was there the 2nd week June 09 for 4 days. First 2 days the park was open to all AP holders. Last 2 days SoCal blocked out.
We were there the week right before the Nightastic kickoff.

First two days were pretty crowded. People everywhere and lines for everything. Evening fireworks jam packed.
The ride waits were something like this throughout the day.
Finding Nemo 60-120min
Pirates 30-45 min
Haunted Mansion 30-45 min
Peter Pan 45-60 min
Small World 30-45 min

Last two days crowds were noticeably lighter. Must more pleasant in the park. Though lots of people, I can deal with this.
Evenings still felt crowded but didn't felt like I was being herded like cattle.

We were there in June 08 too and saw simliar crowd levels and pattern. The bad about early June is fewer shows and parades.
Plus no Fantasmic too. So after 2 annual visits in June, I definitely recommend waiting until mid June for full show schedules and go during AP block out dates.
You'll get more shows scheduled and lighter crowds too.
