How crowded for Gay Days?

How much of an impact on crowds is there during Gay Days? Would we be better off going Memorial Day Weekend, or is there not much difference? Anybody have some experience?

The parks (especially MK) are always busy on weekends, and MK on GayDay saturday is no exception. During the rest of the week, even the designated GayDay parks seem to have normal seasonal attendance rates and are not overly crowded due to this event.

It seems that my daughter and I always traveled during Gay Days and didn't see any problems with crowds. My only suggestion is to find out what is the park of the day for the event and stay away from it. But honestly, I've never had a problem.

We were at WDW during gay days four years ago and it was no big deal. The park where an event is being held may be a little more busy than normal but not that busy.

hubby and i will be there this year during that time...we arent worried about crowd levels....it doesnt seem to have that much of an impact ...i have heard MK will be busier than the other parks on that saturday...but heck when is MK not busy on a saturday....

I'm traveling this time as well. When I checked the Gay Days website, it said they were going to IOA on Saturday and MK on Sunday. I could have read it incorrectly, though. You might want to double check so you can plan if you are worried about the extra crowds.

Its my understanding that there are two separate GayDays organizations...one has scheduled MK for Saturday, and the other for Sunday...hopefully someone else knows the links.
