Hi,

I am planing my trip for next year for April 7-15, 2006 which falls on good friday weekend. How crowded does it get and does crowds really matter when your staying at a monorail resort.

We were there this Good Friday and did MK that day. We went for early EMH there at 7:00am and all of Fanstasyland, breakfast, and Buzz done by 10am. Also saw Chip, Dale, Mickey and Goofy first thing in the park. We finished up with MK by 2:00pm and headed to Epcot. Our whole spring break trip we really didn't have problems with crowds although it was crowded :confused3 . Our longest wait for a ride was probably 20-30 minutes and that was after the fireworks at MK one night we went on Peter Pan. After that though we walked right onto IASW. It seemed like there were lots of people there, but I don't know if it was good planning and fast pass use on our parts, good luck, or just that maybe we don't ride the "big" rides but we never felt like we had to wait much at all. Hope that helps :)

Lizzybee,

Very helpful and thanks. You just never know how the crowds would be. I'm planning to spend 4-5 days (1 at each park since I was just there in Feb of this year, plus one to spare incase of rain) and will spend the other 3-4 days at the Polynesian. My idea is that since I am so close to MK and Epcot, that I might do a morning, and night at the parks and afternoon chill at Poly.

Lizzybee,

I think you did really good planning! We were there during this weekend in 2002 and decided never to do Spring Break again! Like you, we took advantage of EMH. I don't think it really matters if you are staying at a WDW resort. There were many days when we would leave a park and then hear that MK was closed due to reaching capacity. I think if you are prepared for the crowds, try to plan around them and realize that you are still at WDW you should be o.k.

turnlisa,

Since it is just myself, I am flexible and really never plan for anything like which days I'm doing what.

MagicKingdom05,
Hi! Did you end up canceling your trip for May? I thought I remembered that you were going around May? In any case, you will love the Poly! The transportation to MK and Epcot are great! :flower:

My advice - go early and take advantage of those of us who can't get our tails out of bed at a decent hour.

Nik's Mom,

Yeah, May just isn't working out as planned. Instead of doing a half baked really short trip that I wouldn't be happy with, I'm waiting until April 2006. Not that big of a deal since I was just there in Feb and did everything I wanted. This way I can stay at the Poly Lagoon View Conceirge and see what that is like.

How nice! That worked out perfect then! Plus, it gives you more time to plan. You will love the Poly!!! :flower:

Nik's Mom,

It works out great, because next year I will have Good Friday off of work instead of Martin Luther Kings birthday and I will beable to use one less vacation day. This means that I will beable to come in on Friday the 7th instead of Saturday the 8th and hopefully beat some of the Saturday to Saturday crowd.

Plus if nothing else, I will still get my 10% off each night with my AAA discount which will be released some time this summer for 2006.

Here's hoping for some good codes for you! I'll keep my fingers crossed. :sunny:

Nik's Mom,

Thanks. I already know that I will get atleast 10% off so any extra would just be icing on the cake.
