How crowded are SM and BTMR during parade?

We don't want to watch the parade on this trip and had planned to spend that time in Tomorrowland. Space Mountain and Buzz pretty light during that time ? ?

But in trying to figure out a plan, we're more likely to be closer to Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad during that time frame. How does the parade affect the crowds there?

Splash Mountain still had a 30 minute wait during Spectromagic last week.

Unfortuantely, because of Fastpass, the lines for Splash and Big Thunder don't die down a whole lot during parades anymore. The lines may be shorter, but they won't be nonexistant.

Which parade are you asking about - the 3 pm or the nighttime?

The only part bad about being on the Frontierland side is that's pretty much all you can get to without fighting a potentially really large crowd. At least in Tomorrowland you'd be able to access other places without fighting.

The afternoon parade is what I was wondering about. We originally planned to do Adventureland then - but the only ride we're really interested in is Pirates, so figured we'd end up killing time doing rides we really didn't care if we missed or not anyway. At least in Tomorrowland, there are two rides that we don't want to miss. And we can always do those multiple times - Pirates is just not a "multiple time" ride for us. So, guess I'll re-work it to try to be closer to Tomorrowland around that time.

With Frontierland, I was just thinking we'd keep riding Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain multiple times until the parade was over - but wasn't sure if its close proximity to the parade affected it or not.

I remember last year (I believe it was in May) getting off at the train station at Frontierland. As we were coming down the steps (it was about 2:15), the line to Splash Mountain was HUGE. We went ahead and stood in it - not sure why, but I remember the FP time wasn't convenient for us - anyway, by the time we got off the ride, the line to Splash Mountain was non-existant (at least in the outside areas). I was shocked and then looked up and saw the parade going by, so we just turned around and rode it again. :) Was just kinda hoping that we could plan for that again this time. I don't care if we get "stuck" in that area until the parade is over. It's my kids favorite two rides in the park. But we could do Tomorrowland that way as well.

Also - from the middle of Fantasyland (say the Carousel), what can I get to faster - Space Mountain or Splash Mountain. I'm thinking Space Mountain ? ? ?

Definitely Space Mountain.

Last year during the evening parade in late August we rode Splash Mountain 4 consecutive times without getting off the ride.
