How crazy is the Nemo wait?

We are planning on going to Disney in a couple weeks and unfortunately we won't be very quick with our group of 4 year olds and are not eligible for early entry. So, how doable is Nemo? Park will be open 10-8 and am wondering if going at the end will work or whether we should try to go first thing, which really won't be first thing more like 20 minutes after opening. (we will be there around 9:30, but I know with a group of us it will take a while, someone always needs the bathroom, etc.) Also, is the line you wait in where you could have a stroller in it for part of it or does it wrap around and weave which is that case they would have to stand and wait. Any advice? What have your wait times been mid week? We are going Jan 28th and 29th.

If you aren't one of the first hundred people in the park I'd say wait for the evening. You really need to be up towards the front of the crowd to not wait very long. If you do decide to ride in the morning, do NOT ride on the 29th. It is a Magic Mornings day and so people will already be in line. However both evenings the line shouldn't be longer than 45 min if that. And yes, the line is stroller accomadating.

We had an infant with us last Oct and the CMs let my sister and her son wait at the table/chairs across the way until the rest of us got to the ride entrance que area.

We also found this month, right after the fireworks the line was pretty short on the weekends.

We were there on Wednesday. Arrived at the park about 2pm and headed straight to Nemo. The wait was only 30 minutes. We have APs and have been to DL many times since Nemo opened, but this was our first time on the ride. Every time we've been before it's been an hour or more. It was a pretty light crowd day. Walked right on to Soarin before entering DL and had a 15 minute wait for SM. Now that the holidays are over, you probably won't have to wait more than 30 minutes if you'll be at the park early in the week when crowds tend to be lighter. Definitely worth a 30 minute wait. I loved it. Enjoy your trip!

I've only been on Nemo once, despite passing it a billion times... (The first 3 1/2 hour wait didn't make me happy) The wait time always turns me away but this week has been pretty slow for some reason. Getting off the monorail on Weds, a CM mentioned that the wait time was 20 minutes at about 2pm. It's the slowest I've seen it, but it all varies on the crowd levels.

DB and I have gone 5 times since April, and still haven't gone on Nemo! (Only one of those trips was before it opened in June).

He has zero tolerance for lines, and they're still running 1-2 hours during the off-season.

They do, however, let you stay once the park closes if you're already in line. Just like with anything, I think. That doesn't necessarily mean you're more likely to get on at that time though - cuz everyone seems to know that, and line up just before closing! :scared:

I'd say your best bet is to go during the parade or fireworks. Yes, with kids, you're gonna have to choose between the two - lol. We hit all the longer wait rides during those popular times because every family at DL is preoccupied! Also, check the maps - find one online before you hit the park if you can - route out a "secret" way to get there (we've hightailed it to rides at peak times by using alternative routes that are quicker!). DB knows them all by heart, I just follow him - or else I'd tell ya ;)

Good luck! We're waiting till the excitement dies down before we try it - maybe 2010 or so

We plan to go to be there on 2/9. It is a Sat. We want to be there before park opens and head straight to Nemo! Crowds should be lower. I hope we have a good chance of 30 mins or less wait.

We went at 7pm on a Thursday night & waited our longest wait of 25 minutes - not to bad. This was Jan 10.

I definitely don't think this ride is worth more than 30min. in line that being said, we went once and will probably not go again unless one of our kids begs us. I am safe with the older 2, they said it was "uh, ok". The little guy loved to see Nemo "live" (kind of). He might have been asking to go again cause evreytime we passed he would point at the subs and say "Meemo", I love the way he says it. We went about 7pm on a Wednesday, but I would say no time is a good time.
