We are torn between bringing Brother in law and girlfriend (their first trip) to Epcot or to DHS. BIL is a Star Wars fan but also him and girlfriend are new to the whole Disney experience (not like crazy fans or anything, but going to have fun) and I am afraid it is just going to be too mobbed because of all the new Star Wars and Toys Story stuff-we are going first week of March. We are only doing two park days, the other day being AK, and then Discovery Cove. Should we play it safe and do Epcot (we do like Soaring and some of the rides and it is low key) but he is also coming over from Germany so I feel like the countries are not as important? I just sent him a pro/con list for the two parks but since he has never been, I think it is hard for him to judge. I haven't been to DHS for about 5 years so any input is welcome. Thanks

Crowds first week of March will be impacted more by Spring Break than anything else. DHS will be crowded but doable in my opinion if you are willing to purchase Genie+, the Ill for Rise, and know how to use the system. I would not let crowds be the determining factor.

Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land are by no means new... The new draws in March will be Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot and Tron (when it opens) at MK.

I would skip AK and do Epcot and DHS.

Yes I meant new to us

If you can afford it, purchase G+ and ILL$ for both parks, even if it seems like you'll get only a few attractions out of them. If you can't afford both G+ and ILL$, spring for the ILL$, since RotR at DHS and FoP at DAK are, IMHO, totally worth it, because both attractions can get huge long lines and both are terrific.

Your friends are into Star Wars? Don't even think about the choice--you have to go to DHS. Star Wars Galaxy's Edge is fantastic. Epcot right now is still a mess with the walls up (blocking the view of the construction of the Moana attraction), which walls re just horrible. And your friends are European, so I think the World Showcase wouldn't exactly thrill them.

Many people feel that DAK is a half-day park. I don't, but I can do the safari multiple times in a day and I just like hanging out there, doing everything animal-related--there are several walking areas and I like them all. The reason I'm mentioning the half-day thing is that you might want to consider park hoppers, if they're in your budget. That way you could hit all 4 parks in 2 days and totally exhaust yourselves!
