We are traveling to Disney in December this year and November next year. I always wanted to see flower and garden festival so to avoid missing to much school and work we thought we would visit the wednesday before easter and leave monday after easter 2012 since we are getting an annual pass. Just wanted to know how crowded is it during the Easter Holiday?:confused3

The 2 weeks around Easter rank up there right after NYE week, crowd wise. I think it was 2 yrs ago MK made it to the first level in the closing procedure.

We went several years ago and will never, ever, ever travel there at that time again -- it is spring break and Christmas crowds rolled into one and wall to wall people, unbearably crowded.....especially when a few more weeks out from Easter in either direction would be so much better!

We just got back on Thursday and the crowds seemed heavier then we are used to, but not terrible. I would not go the week of Easter, you could probably do as much in 3-4 days a week or two before/after then you could in 5-6 days the week of.

Supposedly the week after Easter this year should be ok...since Spring breaks were before Easter in most parts of the country. At least that is what we are hoping as we usually travel off season but arrive the Friday before Easter for 10 days this time.

I think you should be okay, we usually break around Easter, but with it being so late and state testing starting 4/25 our district decided to go early. They like the kids to be back in school at least a week before testing.

Plus it's kind of silly having that late when our last day of school is 6/3

Have fun, we had a great time at Vero Beach this year.

We had to go once during one of the busiest times around Easter because of our daughter's work schedule. What worked for us was to get to the parks just before opening, then eat lunch around 11:30, then leave. We'd go back in the evening with a fistful of fastpasses we'd collected in the morning, and enjoy a few rides and the parades and lights.

It was hard to force ourselves to wake up early, but we rode everything we wanted easily in the mornings. The sight of the huge crowds surging into the parks just as we were walking out convinced us that no amount of sleep was worth facing those hordes.

I know nothing :) But this year, Easter is happening really late in April, so it shouldn't be as bad as those years where Spring Break/Easter happens at the same time.

Here's hoping its not THAT bad!

That's our game plan Thanksgiving week.:thumbsup2

I had one of the mothers at school tell me she couldn't get on any rides during Easter break a few years ago. Asked if she was there for park openeing(this was MK). She said yes, so I asked how she liked Mickey coming in by train etc. Looked at me funny!

They never looked at the park schedules!!:scared1: They stayed on site too!! Thought all the parks opened at 10:30! And to top it off it sounded like every park she went to had EMH that am.
