How crazy are we?

So we're thinking about trying to schedule a trip out to DL in May or the 1st week of June and haven't started to look for anything yet (hotels, airfare, etc). We've been to DL 4 times in the past 5 years (last visit May 2006), so it's not that we're undertaking a completely new experience - we would consider ourselves pretty knowledgeable. So we're not freaked out with the planning aspect of such short notice.

We're looking to stay at either DLH or GC, and are looking for a Sunday - Friday trip (travelling both those days so the main park days would be Monday - Thursday). We're okay missing the night stuff - we would rather have lower crowds during the week and not have to deal with the weekend.

Anyone have an opinion on which week of May or early June we should shoot for? I'm leaning against the week of Memorial Day and the 1st week of June scares me a little with the extended hours (even though I hear local schools aren't out until after the 1st week of June).

I would say the earlier in May, the better.

You need to book as soon as possible if you're going. There is very little hotel availablility in the first three weeks of May, I think it's probably because of the 2fer deal. Things get better the first week of June, but the longer you wait the harder it will be.

Yeah, we're finding that to be a bit of a challenge. A couple of the weeks have a night missing (mostly the Sunday or Thursday at DLH). That and getting FF tickets under 21 days out isn't completely free.
