How crazy are evening magic hours at MK on a Sunday night?

We went to the Sunday evening EMH at MK in early June. I found them to be much more crowded than a normal morning in the park. Although by about 1 1/2 hours into it the park strated to get less crowded. I have tried evening EMH but find that the morning ones provide you with more riding opportunities. Durring the June EMH I went on Haunted Mansion (a few minute wait), BTMR (20 minutes), Small World (no wait), Space (30 minute), Buzz (15 minute), Snow White (15 minute). I have finished all that and more when I arrive at the park just before opening and plan to leave the park before 11 (2 hour slot).

I have read over and over that the days at the parks with evening EMHs tend to be more crowded than normal because so many people don't like to bother putting park hopping on their passes but want to experience EMH.

From personal experience we found the begingin of EMH to be crowded however end becomes walk-on ... IF you can stay coherent that long

Watch those bus rides back to the resorts... they're packed worse than a subway car in Japan.

Hi, please bear with me I'm new at this! Am I reading the calendar correctly? On Sat Aug 19 the parks are all closed at 9pm (MK 10pm)...but on Sunday the 20th, Magic Kingdom stays open 'til 1am??? Just doesn't make sense to me that everything would close so early on a SATURDAY.
