How cool is it in the evenings right now?

Weather.com says low to mid 70's. Is there a cool breeze in the evening. Just wondering if I'll need a sweater or long sleeves in the evening. We'll be there Mon-Thurs next week.

We usually go around this time of year, also. Around 9-10 o'clock it gets a bit chilly. Not cold enough for pants, but perhaps just a light sweater? It's safe to bring one, and just put it in a locker.
The lockers are great, because you can go in and out of them all day, for only a daily cost.

I agree. I thought I wouldn't need one, so I left it at the hotel. I ended up dishing out $50 for a sweatshirt so I could watch Fantasmic. Too chilly for me.

Better safe than sorry. I'll throw one in and put it in a locker.

I'm getting my fanny pack ready and found all of the things I put in there for WDW - moleskin, floss, tweezers, meds, hand cleanser, antiseptic wipes, bandages. Of course, I never needed them but I'm sure I would have it I didn't pack it!

That was us too last year for the Electric Parade in the middle of June. Only we were still soaking wet from the rafting ride, which did not help, even though it was like 2 hours after we rode it. I was so cold I told DH that I didn't care how much it cost get me a sweatshirt! He got me a nice one with a hood, I love it but I don't know if I would have spent the $50 for it! LOL I will be taking it this time with me for the evenings! :rotfl:

When you say chilly, do you mean low 70's or more like 60's. I need temps because it would have to be in the mid-low 60's for me to be chilly. Plus I've heard that this week it has been in the high 90's to 100, is it still getting "chilly" at night?

When I was there about a week ago, I wore a light sweatshirt the first night, and a short sleeve shirt and capris for three other evenings. Only one evening did I started getting just a little chilly, but that night I had on a sleeveless shirt. I was perfectly comfortable in the mornings in shorts. My DS wore shorts and a t-shirt all the time and didn't get the least bit chilly, but he wears shorts in Dec. I'd bring a light sweatshirt, and watch the weather reports -- you can probably leave it in your room or in a locker.

We got home last night. We are from Texas also, we wore shorts and t-shirts the entire week, even til midniht on Fri. Never felt too cool for us although there were alot of people wearing jackets and sweatshirts in the morning and evening.

Bring a sweater or sweatshirt. Last week was quite warm but it can easily go into the 60's and even 50's. Without the humidity and clouds, once the sun goes down it can really feel cool quickly. We got very cold in first week of August in 2004 and are going in a week and I will definitely have something for the evening - or maybe I will buy a new sweatshirt -my other disney ones are getting old :teeth: ! Plus I think it is supposed to cool down from the highs in the 90's & 100's we have been having in California this week.

I agree, bring a sweater or sweatshirt. Southern California weather can be funny at times, and its better to have a sweater available than to wish you had brought one along (although you could jus buy one at World of Disney:). At any rate, the weather should be nice, but sometimes when the breeze kicks up, or I go into a place with lots of AC I find myself wanting a sweater.

I agree with this poster. So far, all the comments have come from locals. Not to offend, but your idea of "cold" may be different from mine! Our high today is 21C or 70F. This is considered a cooler summer day, but shorts and t-shirts all day nonetheless. I'm curious what to bring in March. If you guys need sweaters in the summer, do you need parkas in the winter? :rotfl: (I mean no offense.. just a little poking fun... )

We were there all last week and were comfortable in shorts and t-shirts during the day but put on light jackets each night around 7 pm.

We were there last week -- it was outright hot during the day and simply pleasant (to us) at night). We took sweatshirts the first evening and after that left them in the room.

I can actually answer my own question because I'm here now. I hate to be cold so i was a little worried about the evenings. Last night at DD it was great, a little cool but not cold. I had on capris and think I would have been colder in shorts. I'm going to bring a light jacket tonight and probably put capris back on.

I cant' believe the humidity here. It was quite warm today and we left about 3:00. I feel like I need to take a shower before we go back out.

I may be local know - 2 years, but before that it was 40 years in Minnesota - today we had humidity (you should hear the people complain - but it wasn't bad), so it feels fine at 9PM. But if you are going to be outside at night for a couple of hours and it isn't humid and only has the fog/breeze off the ocean - you will be glad you carried that sweatshirt. It is all a gamble! Oh and they do wear winter coats in Jan/March and winter scarfs - it can seem quite funny to those from where it is real cold!

Today - Monday - is the muggiest ever. I have never not needed a sweater for the tram ride to the car - but tonight was the first. Capris, sandals and a long sleeved T shirt worked for today (short sleeved would have been fine). Typically a light sweater or sweatshirt is good to throw in a locker.
