Here in Houston the restaurants really overcompensate for the heat and humidity. Standard summer wardrobe must include a light jacket because it is just sooooooo coooooold. So, how is WDW?:confused3 Are TS really blasting the a/c? DS gets cold easily...

TIA!

I'm dying to know this too. We've never been in summer and I DO NOT want to bring a jacket to wear indoors! I hate AC that is cold. AC should make it comfortable, not COLD. :confused3

We were there last year in Aug, and the AC did get pretty cold, but never enough that we would want to bother carrying a jacket. The only time we were uncomfortable was when we were wet from Kali river rapids then sat in the ac for a while. When wet, it got really chilly.

If your DS gets cold easily, you might want a light jacket or sweatshirt for him, but for the rest of the group, it should be bearable, and you will be happier NOT carrying a jacket around all day

Our experience is it seems to vary with each place. Some restaurants tend to be colder than others. If you have been sweating alot, it will also seem to be colder than it actually is.

we took our grandkids to Le Cellier and it was 92 outside.....and inside we froze...our grandaughter (16 at the time) put her sweatshirt on...We always carry a backpack with JUST IN CASE THINGS.....like a sweatshirt or raingear...

I always bring a sweater to resaurants as I am always cold in them. Last Aug was our 1st summer WDW trip and it was so hot, I couldn't stand using my usual backpack so I didn't bring a sweater or sweatshirt. I was OK in the park restaurants though (I didn't think I would be), some were colder than others, but I was never freezing like I usually am. When we went to any of the resort resaurants I did carry one with me.

My DD12 (who's almost never cold) was freezing in LTT on Mother's Day.
In our pictures, you can't see that we all have matching shirts on because DD had put her sweatshirt on.

I've always felt that restaurants deliberately make it quite cold so you'll eat and leave quickly so they can fill that table with other paying customers.

I know it's a huge pain to have to carry a light jacket, sweatshirt, or sweater, but I would certainly encourage you to do so anyway. We were down during free dining last August and used them in just about every TS restaurant we ate at. We're definitely planning on doing the same next month--especially since many days we have 2 TS meals planned!

I didnt find it unusually cold in any restaurant and i live in ft lauderdale. Alot of it is from being hot and sweaty it feels a little cooler until your body regulates its temperature to the surroundings. Just my opinion.

It sounds like I need to be prepared. I can get cold too. We put sweaters on at the grocery store! LOL! I'll have to think about this...because I don't want to carry around jackets. I just got a couple of very cool fanny packs for our Aug trip because I wanted to be a free as possible in the heat.;) Hmmmmmmm.

hi
Definitly veryyyyy cold in most restaurants ...I now carry light sweatshirt or cardigan better safe than sorry:) I was so cold 2 years ago it made it very uncomfortable to enjoy meals .
