We are thinking of taking the kids to D Cove for a Christmas surprise. Are we going to freeze? It's an experience we have had wanted to do with them for a long time, so we want it to be great. But is it going to be too cold to enjoy?
I have been there when it is 45 degrees in January!! It is not a balmy 85 all year round! I just don't know if it is wise to book something that is totally water related for december.
Um in Florida in December it can be anything from 80 to 32 or less in the span of a day! LOL Usually it is still pretty warm in December though. Jan and Feb are aour coldest months, but even then the afternoons warm up usually to abave 60.
Remember the water in the dolphin pool will be same temp whether air is hot or cold- a cool 60 I think. I have been at Sea World during Christmas week where the warmest thing we did was putting our hands in the water to touch the dolphin. You also will have wet suits to wear .
I went in January, and it was fine for me. You do have your wet suits, and the lazy river thing is heated. If you get too cold, ther are always indoor places, but you should be fine.
Just booked a dolphin swim for my 10 year old and myself. Discovery cove agent said the temperature with dolphins is 75 and coral reefs and beach 80 degree.
You can have your choice of full length thermal suit, half suit and vest.
