Epic with NO early entry

Hi there! My brother is taking his daughter to Epic in mid June. He’s not staying on property and can’t afford Express Pass.

He’s convinced he can rope drop and go straight to MoM before the line gets too long. I am not optimistic about this.

Any guesses or experience for how long the line gets before gen pop is allowed in?

Thrill Data says he's probably right. Worth noting that it's still going to be a long wait and there is obviously a risk of downtime.

We just got back. Stayed at Helios Grand and had early entry. We had a 10 minute wait each morning. By the time the park opened, the wait was 60 minutes plus. Then the line only gets longer.

If a person has the time and motivation to do this I'd say got for it. The queue is certainly pretty and cool enough to accommodate a long wait.

Personally I would avoid weekends for the quest, why compete with local annual pass holders and all for spots on the rides. Also make sure both dad and girl had a solid breakfast like an egg sandwich so they are comfortable and bring along water bottles they can refill at the stations near the space they will wait for rope drop, plus add in an extra bathroom break while waiting and all should be ok. Can use the time waiting to select whatever the second ride is they want to get to most, IMO the Monsters Unchained is not to be missed.
