How close is Hojo to the convention center?

will it be a hassle for dh to get from Howard Johnson to convention center for NAMM show? Don't know my way around so not sure what he'll be in for as far as getting there and back each day. We have only stayed at Embassy Suites before and taken the shuttle. Hope this trip will be a better location.

HoJo is on the far right. Convention center is on the far left.
It would be a 15 minute walk or so.

It is about a 15 - 20 minute walk. I always stay at the HoJo (LOVE that hotel) and have walked from there to the Marriott (very near Convention Center) several times. I don't find it a difficult walk at all and I'm an overweight, out-of-shape middle aged mom.

Is this somthing that dh should drive? We will be driving our own vehicle on this trip anyway... anyone done this? I am concerned about trying to park at the convention center. DD and myself will be walking to DL so our van will be free... just want to make things as easy on hubbby as possible.
