How clean is your home right now?

RV home is perfection as we get ready to head south for the winter!
Sticks and Bricks home is 95% clean and presentable but our dining room is full of stuff that will be donated or tossed when we get our house on the market, it's easier to move everything to one room to sort as we worked on fixing up the rest of of the house little by little.

I live with 6 other people - my house has not been clean in 25 years. There are things everywhere and to top it all off my father is a hoarder who has so much stuff. He will not let me get rid of anything that was my mothers. I have to do it on the sly. I mean I have never used the stuff in the 31 years since her death. I don't need it but he is so attached to stuff that it is impossible. I mean he has a pile of lottery tickets that not winners that he keeps because if he wins the lottery he will use them as a tax deduction. I could go on and on with the stuff we have in this house.

Kitchen floor needs to be mopped but if someone stops by, I'm okay with letting them in the house. With 3 big shedding dogs, I think I'm doing pretty good keeping up.

Eh...it is what it is. I figure if someone stops by, they're here to see me, not the house!

That said, I do clean. It's just not a huge goal for me to get it perfect.

...of course there is the never ending laundry - it’s like rabbits turn your back on it and wholly cow it multiplied by ten - gotta keep an eye on it - it’s shady like that darn cat !!

Never understood the laundry thing. Married with 2 daughters, my clothes never got washed anyways because when dirty, they were in a basket or hamper rather than all over the floor and all over the floor was always the first to get picked up for the washer. Wife was constantly doing laundry, sometimes 3 loads a day.

Now I'm alone. One load about every week and a half. You women sure know how to wear and dirty a lot of clothes, LOL

With just my wife and I, it is very easy to keep clean.

My family room is a pile of toys for my GS, my stupid kitchen desk (what a waste of space) becomes a drop zone for all the “stuff” without a home. I hate it.

Messy as usual Maybe even a little messier than usual since still recuperating/putting things away from trip. I tend to ignore the clutter....but should have several weeks now to TRY and get rid of some of this stuff, reorganize. I make this goal/resolution every year.....

Very clean. Always considered me and my husband neat and tidy. Only exception is my kitchen right now. Starting tomorrow getting new tile backsplash. Then new lighting and window treatments.

C-L-E-A-N!!!

Cleaning ladies came this morning, and no one has been home yet to disturb it. I am rushing home from work to try to beat the kids and get to enjoy the clean for a few minutes before said kids ruin it.

Clean. I live alone and clean up after myself right away. I hate having a mess or clutter so I'm pretty good about keeping things clean.

My goal every day, and always has been, is for the house to be company ready every day.

My grandma told me years and years ago that she vowed to never say to someone that came by unexpectedly - Don't mind the house, I wasn't expecting company.
I now try my very very very best to never say that too - even when my girls were young.

I'd never say don't mind the house, no matter what state it is in. If people are shallow enough to judge me and my life based on a messy house, I really don't give a rat's patoot about them. It's more rude to come by unexpectedly than to have a messy house in my opinion.

This week is unusual with plans, so tomorrow will be my cleaning day. So needless to say it isn't as clean as I would like, but by all means it isn't horrific. I can't take messy. But it does need a good dust and mop.

I am amending my post since today was cleaning day! CLEAN! But my sweet love of when I am home with no one else and the house is freshly cleaned was very short. Our neighborhood finally got fiberoptic cable for internet, and it was installed this morning. So by the time I went over and cleaned where the installer was (had to drill hole in my wall) my time was severely cut short. Maybe 15 minutes of pure clean heaven.

nice and clean with the exception of a slight layer of dust that i would normally take care of in minutes but i think it adds a cool vibe to the halloween decor i've got up so i will put up with it until november 1st when i take it down, wipe it down and put up a few fall decorations.

My house is fairly clean all the time - just the two of us don't make too much mess. This afternoon it will be very clean because the cleaning lady is coming today.
