How cheap can we do a 3 day?

Still hashing around a possible "just the two of us" 3 day wonder leaving 12/4. Just got the cc bill from our trip and it doesn't help any!
We would have enough DVC points for a cat. 11.
We would need to pay for air and transfer to port. Would fly down that morning--a flight the night before is $10 each cheaper, but then there is the hotel room cost. The best air I'm getting now is $211 each.
We would need to tip (min about $70 I think for 2 of us). We would not have excursions or spa this time. A drink or two and maybe a photo or two.
I'd like to think we could do it for $700 including air--am I being naive?

Obviously, Robin, you enjoyed your last cruise to want to do it again so that's encouraging to me. First off, I'd like to say I enjoyed your trip reports. They really make me look forward to our cruise. DH and I will be on the November 16 4-night Wonder for our 10th wedding anniversary. I am so excited. I hope we have a great time. I had planned on our spending a few days after the cruise at the Hard Rock hotel and doing the Universal thing but our finances dictate otherwise so we'll be cutting out the "land" portion of our trip. We booked the cruise on points, I've found air out of Pittsburgh for $190 per person (are you willing to fly out of Pittsburgh to save a bit of money?) and plan on arriving the day before, staying at the Hyatt.

I am still debating on whether we should just use Disney transfers (about $100) or do the towncar service which would be twice as much. Anyway, I plan on taking $500. That will have to include tipping, a small souvenier or two, a couple of pictures and a little bit for incidentals. I hope I'm being realistic with my budget. The $500 doesn't include the hotel the night before or our transfers but does include everything else. We'll see how economical we can make this trip.

I think if you go with the expectation that you cannot do a bunch of spa visits and shore excursions, you should be fine. I hope we enjoy our cruise as much as you obviously enjoyed yours! I also hope you can make your December cruise work.
