My jaw dropped when I read this thread topic. We just got back from a trip that turned out to be great but I was really worried. We've been to the World several times and only planned this trip a couple months out. About 3 weeks before we left I was talking to my best friend and she was asking about WDW and how neat it would be if our two families could go together sometime. "Oh yes, that would be fun." My friend tends to talk about things to do in the future and never come to fruition so imagine my shock when she calls the next day and says, "Guess what? I talked to the family and we want to come with you." All I could think of is that when I told my dh I may never make it to WDW for the trip because he will kill me (I'm JUST joking! Don't take that literally). I said that I doubted there would be ressies left at that late date. She called CRO and they couldn't get into our resort but there was a room at a value resort. It took a lot of patience, but they ended up having a great time and we did too but I have to be honest that it was nice to stay at seperate resorts and have space of our own. I totally know how you feel though. It is a VERY difficult spot to be put in. As far as what to say to her I would say, "Since this is baby's first trip, we have to be really flexible and won't be able to do the things you would probably like. How about a trip in the future?"
