How can we check out SAB when touring BCV?

When we (DH and I) go to WDW in late January (staying at SSR), we want to check out the other DVC resorts.

My one question is, how can we check out the pool area at BCV if we're not guests there? Is this at all possible? We just want to walk around and look around the SAB area a bit one morning before heading off to Epcot for the day.

Sure - you can walk around any of the public areas and can easily get a look at SAB right from the BW in front of the pool. You could also just ask at the front desk if it would be OK to walk around the pool.

I'd also ask if there are any vacant BCV villas you could take a peek at - they are usually generous about allowing a look as log as they have vacant, cleaned villas available.

Enjoy!

If you have time, grab some ice cream from Beaches and Cream. It's the cute soda shop right beside Stormalong Bay. You can sit outside with a perfect view of SAB.

DH & I wanted to "check out" SAB before we booked a stay at BCV. We just explained that to the CM who was checking wristbands at the gate. We also said we understood if it was against the rules. He said no problem, just walk through and see what you want. This was in January, and it was frrrrrreezing and hardly anyone was there, so maybe that's why. Plus, I'm sure it was obvious from our attire that we weren't going there to swim.

This is what we were hoping to be able to do too. All we can do is ask and see if the CM will let us in to take a peek around. If not, it's good to know that we'll still be able to see some of SAB from the surrounding public areas. :thumbsup2

Or have a nice lunch at B&C and check it out.

As long as you are not wearing swimsuits and carrying beach towels, I am sure they will let you roam.

Much of the pool is visible from the walkways and public areas. We stayed at BCV once, during spring break, and I had trouble finding a chair. I ended up going back to the quiet pool as I just wanted to relax in the hot tub and read for awhile. SAB during spring break is NOT the place for relaxation!
