how can they be sold out this far in advance?

So I was trying to get ahold of 4 tickets to see wicked in san fransico for my moms birthday. They are sold out of tickets until JUNE. The show hasn't even started yet!

I might end up buying her 2 so her and her boy friend can go. She really wanted to see it. She would love that as a present. So if any of you happen to find tickets for january or february let me know...

yeah i know that...but even so i have the ability to usually get tickets for anythign the day before...sold out or not.

Just because its wicked doesn't mean anything...
Hairspray was "sold out" too yet i got in...

I tried to buy tickets for wicked in February...

And its sold out until the last week in which the tickets cost alot more...

Well I'm pretty sure Wicked has ended in Chicago. Maybe everyone is traveling to San Fran to see it .

It is a very good play and reviews are great. I would expect the tickets to be sold out until June. Maybe Grease would be good if you want tickets in the near future?
