How can I get Cubs tickets???

Does anyone know an alternate, REASONABLY PRICED, way to get Cubs tickets besides their offices? My husband and I are heading that way for Memorial Day and he has always wanted to go to a game at Wrigley Field. Any suggestions? Do you Cub fans think a Rockies game will sell out quick? I'm getting nervous, and they've only been on sale 30 minutes!

I wish I could help you, but I don't know! We're Red Sox fans and were unable to get any tickets this year on the day they went on sale. We had 3 high speed internet connections going and 2 phones and got NADA all day. We also entered their drawing for the opportunity to purchase games against the Yankees and their special Green Monster and Right Field Roof seats and didn't get picked for that either. I did get 3 bleacher seats at a high price through ebay for my husband and 2 older sons for one game in May. But I guess this will be the first year we all won't be able to go to game together.
Good luck! I'd like to see the Cubbies someday myself!

OK, either I"m losing my mind or you changed and edited this entire thread while I was posting my reply. I just replied to your "how to you get Cubs tickets" and it's suddenly a WVL question.

haaa! Sorry about that, you weren't losing your mind. I went to post another thread on VWL and did something weird. I'm not concentrating while calling the Cubs line from both my cell and work. Sorry! This is a Cubs thread though.

Try www.cubs.com and you'll get put in a virtual waiting room. I've been in there since 9:30am central. DH has already called me to see if we have any tix yet--the things I do for him!

I've had much better luck on the phone. 800-843-2827 (Illinois) and 866-652-2827 (outside IL). Got through 4 times.
