How can I fix this in PSE?

When my dd saw the print of this, she said "I look tired," and pointed to the dark circles under her eyes. Unfortunately, she seems to have inherited my allergies and corresponding tendency to look like she hasn't slept in days. Also, she probably was tired since she was too busy cavorting around with her friends and relatives on this trip to go to sleep.

Anyway, I've never been able to figure out how to correct this in PSE. The clone stamp doesn't work for me because I can't figure out what to clone--the fair skin right under her eye, or the freckled rosy skin on her cheeks. I suspect I need to create a layer that removes the shadow there or something, but I don't know how to do that. Can anyone help? TIA!

That's a great shot! I don't think the eyes are all that bad. It's the blade of grass that bugs me a little.

I did this with the healing brush in Photoshop CS. I don't know if PSE has that.

how's this version: I removed the dark circle without really removing the freckles. One-click work using Alienskin Image Doctor

Wow--PSE does have a healing brush. In the past, I had only used the spot healing tool, which doesn't work very well for this kind of application. Thanks! Now, can you tell me how to get rid of those circles in real life?

As for the blade of grass, I've gone back and forth as to whether I like it because it's out of focus and translucent, or if it bugs me too. Oh well.

Thanks Kelly! I like that one too, but since I can get a good fix out of the software I already have, I think I'll stick with it.

it's a plugin for your photoshop. PM me.

The other version (with more spots removed) is a combination between Kodak GEM Brush and Alienkin Image Doctor plugins. Took me less than 1 minute to do all that.

Here's what I did, though I'm probably not done tinkering with it. Dh really likes the blade of grass, and since I wasn't sure about it, I left it in there.

I ahve a low key version but I kept the darkness some cuz it looks mroe like sun than baggy eyes. I alos touched up the eyes a little.

:goodvibes Actually, this one LOVES to play in the grass up on the dunes. My 3yo, OTOH, won't go up there because of the "hurting things." You should see the series of pictures we took of our 2 along with our friends' kids on the beach, though. The rest of the kids are goofing around, smiling, making faces, etc. while my 6yo is standing there, not moving at all, with the same bored look on her face in each shot that screams "aren't we done yet?!"
