How can I find out our room assignment?

I just called POFQ to get our room assignment or building number (for this Sunday) and they said we can't find that out until we check in. I thought I read on this board to call a few days ahead to find out what building/room you are in?

Any advice or corrections?

I know you can make a "room preference request" a few days prior to arrival, but I don't know whether you can get the exact room number.

You can make requests but they are not guaranteed. Fax your request to the attention of the room assignor.

You don't find out which room you have until it's ready. On two occasions we checked in early - our room was not ready yet - and they would not even give us a location.

I believe their reasoning behind not telling you is that if you get to your resort and the room is not ready you do not hassle the maids or the CMs.

I agree with the other posters. I've never known them to tell you what your room number was, or even the general area you are in, until your key is activated and your room is ready.

What you probably read was about people calling or faxing in room requests.
