How busy will EPCOT be on the first week of March? Worth Genie +?

First time going to EPCOT. I am going on the 4th of March. I understand their will be a festival, how crowded may it be? My main goals are to ride the major rides once, then enjoy food+do alot of shopping. Do I have enough time for this and is this worth getting G+? Its open 9-9 (8:30 for me as i will stay on property).

It is entirely possible to do most things at EPCOT without G+, but we still use it.

I've found that we don't get many high value LL's at EPCOT, but it gives us the time to eat and stroll the festivals and World Showcase. Hardest to acquire are Test Track, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and Frozen Ever After. We usually rope drop one of those attractions and use LL for the others. If you do, I'd prioritize Cosmic Rewind virtual queue at 7am and then grab one of those other three that you aren't rope dropping.

As much as I love Soarin', I hate that queue, so I appreciate that when it has 45-60 minute waits. We often find ourselves later in the day getting LL's for rides like Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth that are only 15-20 minute waits, but it helps I suppose.

We do not use G+ at Epcot or AK, only have used iLL$. Just don't feel like there's enough rides to justify the expense for a family of 4. We have not been the first week of March but have been mid March when our trip landed on the local schools spring break and that was very busy. I'm sure the holiday travels will start some in March but local spring break isn't until the first week of April so that's good news for you. Just prepare for crowds, have a solid park touring plan and you'll be fine. We can't always control when we go since we're at the mercy of work/school schedules. We've been when it's shoulder to shoulder and when it's empty and we always have a great trip.

Spring break. And it's Friday, so you get Spring Breakers from the next week too. No way I would go that week.

Also the next week Pirate Pass (FL) is blacked out, so locals will go then.

We're going March 1-7, that seems a week early for the spring break crowd, or I'm hoping!
