How busy was MK on Sat (12-11)?

Just curious if the wait times were as bad as we thought they might be. It was a beautiful day but we stayed out of the parks on Sat. We dealt with some rain at MK on Fri but I think it helped keep the crowds away.

we were there 9-12 AM on 12/11. the first hour after opening was shockingly slow - many streets seemed deserted. second hour was getting busier but encountered no serious lines - from 9-11 we were able to do a ton of stuff with no waits at all. around 11 crowds arriving started getting serious. when we left at noon we were fighting upstream against a huge river of incoming guests.

so crowds/lines were probably scary in the afternoon through at least early evening, but the crowds were very late arriving and for us the morning was quite pleasant.

Gah, We got there about 10:00, not as early as I would've liked but I was not waking the baby early!! Wanted to get his first haircut, so we did that which ate up about and hour. So when we reached Fantasyland around 11:00 it was MOBBED. I peeked at the info board on our walk over there and it said the wait times were all 5 - 15 minutes. HA! In the 5 minutes it took us to get there they were mostly 30-45. We got a Pooh fastpass, watched Mickey's Philharmagic (pretty much walk-on, there was a wait but that is unavoidable with shows), rode Haunted Mansion with a short wait. Went back to fastpass Pooh at 12:30. Waited about 10 minutes in the fastpass line (a first for me). Had a terrible ride (none of the effects were working). We got off of that and went to eat lunch. The line for Columbia Harbor House was about a mile long. I said, um, let's come back another day, and we left. I knew it would be crowded, but we had a change in plans and that was our only option. The haircut was our main reason for being there.
I am sure you know, but that was the only night Spectro was showing, and no party, so that's a big reason for the crowds.
It was not a typical early Dec. day. Perhaps the other lands were less crowded since Fantasyland is usually the most crowded, but I wasn't in the mood to check it out. ;-)

We were there and it was crazy. We didn't get there until about 11 because it was our last day and we were packing to go home. I have never seen so many people just standing around not knowing what to do because the lines were so long. We checked the line for stitch and the wait was 95 min and fast pass was for later in the night after we had to leave. Most of the rides had a 60 min wait. One of the CMs told me they we expecting max capacity that day. We rode a few rides and left at 4:30 to go to the airport.

I agree, it was horrid Saturday! We had also went on 12/4, during the taping, and it wasn't as bad as 12/11! I will NEVER do MK on a Saturday again!!!

We were also there on Saturday, and as the others have said, it was pretty busy. We got there around 9:15 or so, and it wasn't too bad. But by early afternoon, it was very crowded! There was even a line to ride the "People Mover"!!! Our Buzz Lightyear fastpass was for 4:00 PM, so that was our last ride of the trip - and my daughter(9) got 999,999 points!!!!! She was so excited!!! We left and went to Wilderness Lodge for the Sleigh Ride (which was WONDERFUL), and we had dinner at Artist Point!

We went to the Dec 9 MVMCP and it was great!!! Almost everything was either a walk on or at most a 5 minute wait!!! We did wait about 10-12 minutes for the Speedway ride!

My friend and I went to AK for 2 hours that morning and then EPCOT till about 3:00 p.m., then left for our flight home. We couldn't get over how crowded both parks were. AK was mobbed and EPCOT had a huge line to get in (about 11:00 a.m.). Of course, at EPCOT the crowds disperse so nicely. I figured MK was packed. I have never gone at this time of the year, but I was really surprised how busy ALL of the parks were. (12/6 to 12/11) I know some was the hurricane rescheduling (which is why we were there then), but Disney was also offering a free ticket to all hurricane relief workers and I think that affected us also. We did MVMCP on 12/9 and I was complaining about the crowds and the attraction waits. The couple ahead of me said that was nothing compared to the 12/7 party which was twice the waits we had. NO FUN. Never again.
