How busy is President's Week?

Hello All!

I had a great deal of trouble booking our G.F. reservations (Feb 16-27) because of "President's Week". Please excuse my ignorance on this matter but living in Canada, we don't have this holiday.

Does this mean that the crowds will be extremely heavy at this time? I hate to think of that because I will be taking my elderly father and my three year old daughter.

Would those who are familiar with attendance records in this period please share their thoughts with me?

Thanks very much.

It will be pretty crowded. This is not considered off-season. Since all US kids have president's day off from school, some parents cash in and travel that week. Many US states also have Lincoln's birthday off (same week) as well. Scheduling your trip one or two weeks earlier will cut attendance figures by about a third. After president's week, spring breaks from school kick in and attendance will go up again until after Easter. PResidents week is not as bad as Christmas, Easter or Thanksgiving, but definately not off season touring. princess:

Not all U.S. children have President's Day off from school. I know that we'll be in school that day, but we do have 3 days off the following week for Mardi Gras!

I wish I had the money to travel again, because I'd take that long 5 day weekend and go to DW, but we were just there over the Christmas holidays! Of course, there's always the chance that I'll hit the lottery! HA!
