how busy is mardi gras week

hi this is my first time my family will be going to disneyworld i have 4 children aged between 3 and 9 and i am really worried it will be full of crowds im going from end jan till mid feb has anyone out there been on mardi gras im not going to universal just disney

hey there, I'm from New Orleans, and we are going to DW during Mardi Gras week. There's only a small section of the U.S. that is on holiday during that time period, so we aren't expecting a large crowd.

Mardi Gras occurs on various dates, and it is VERY early this year. President's day is the following weekend after Mardi Gras, so I would expect the crowds that weekend, and after.
