How busy is June?

As you'll see from my signature it's 20 years since I went to DLP in the summer. A friend of mine is booking for Sunday the 10th to Thursday the 14th of June and she's wondering how busy it will be. Will there be the mad 1 hour queues that there can be in the summer or during school holidays or is it a bit better than that because most school holidays aren't until July and August?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

She's asked me for any tips I might have. God help her, I might not stop talking until the day she leaves! Never ask a Disney fan to talk about anything Disney or they just may never stop :hyper2:

i think she's chosen a very good time to go (and its the same week I'm looking at for my next trip). Its just after the English schools half term week, and before the European schools break up for their summer holidays :thumbsup2.

I've been in early June before, it was lovely weather and midweek the parks were lovely and quiet.

i went pretty much that same week last year (13th to 17th) it was fab. not too busy, but we didnt do any of the big rides. mostly the kid ones, longest wait was for dumbo and that was 20 mins. the weather was hot, we all came home with a tan even tho we wore sun cream. be sure to drink plenty tho.

It's also the week we're planning to go. We were originally looking at the week before, but didn't realise about the double bank holiday, so switched it to avoid the crowds and higher prices.

Make sure you pack for all weathers. No matter which month we go, we always take rain gear to Paris just in case, but one year in late May, the sun was beating down so hot, I actually got sun stroke while queuing for the Tarzan show. Serves me right for not having a hat and sunscreen!

Thanks DLPdaft, Donald Duck's wife and steve_rob for all your replies. Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I just haven't had time for a leisurely browse on disboards lately.

Delighted to hear my friend has picked a good time to go. She went ahead and booked it and THEN asked me for advice so I was hoping I didn't have to go back to her and say it was going to be a busy time.

Other friend's of mine took their 2 kids during the Easter holidays last year and I warned them it would be busy. They are not huge Disney fans anyway and were going for the kids but just came back moaning and very disillusioned by the huge queues for the rides. To be honest, even though I'm a huge fan I wouldn't do the queues anymore now that I'm so used to the lack of them midweek in the Christmas season.

Thanks again for all your advice
