has anyone been over august bank holiday weekend, is it manic? was thinking of a quick trip thurs to monday if price is right! to get our use out of those money saving annual passes. :rolleyes1

Whole France is on vacation in August! So it will be the bussiest time of the year! Even on the weekends!

I'd expect it to be busy. FP's for BTM and Peter Pan will probably be out by midday and if you have not done the major rides by 11.00am then you'll be spending most of the day queuing :)

Thanks for the replies.....so that off then! dont want a repeat of last december.
back to the drawing board!

We were there last August BH, Claire. We found it manageable, the longest we had to queue was 40 mins for BTM but that was only because the ride broke down whilst we were in the queue, oh and PM but we chose to queue for that to get in the shade for a while. We did find it busy but having been to WDW over Easter we didn't think anything of it. We went Thursday to Tuesday and noticed that Saturday and Sunday were much busier than the other days. On BH Monday the park changed its hours and it was not nearly as busy but we found this to be not necessarily all a good thing as we found it much harder to get a snack/counter service meal for our lunch as half the places were now shut and those that were open were really crowded!

We found that by getting to the parks early and getting fastpasses we found it OK. We're the same as you, want to get some final use out of our passes so we are going in August again but slightly earlier this year. It will probably be even busier then! ;)

Last year we went just after the bank holiday and it was not very busy at all.

I haven't been in August but if it's anything like the madhouse that was the half term holiday in Halloween it will be crazy. It was packed to the gills as both French and English schools were on their holidays. Much as I enjoyed the trip I wouldn't willingly go again when I knew school holidays were happening

thanks for the replies, I have scrapped the idea now, our passes run out dec 1st so we will go end of nov but was hoping to get a sneaky trip in without having to take too much time off work.
