How busy is 4 July?

We are due to be at the World 4 July next year. I'm assuming the parks, and MK in particular, will be mobbed. What I don't understand is that 4 July this year was 'value season' as far as booking WDW resorts is concerned, and in 2004, 4 July is Regular and then 5 July Value.

We were at MK July 4th, 2000, and it was absolutely packed wall to wall, especially at the parades and fireworks. But we still loved it.

We were at Epcot July 4th, 2002, and it was also the most crowded I'd ever seen it. Getting out of Epcot after Illuminations took a very long time. But, again, we loved it.

This year, we're going the week beginning July 5th, to avoid the 4th, and also because value season begins on the 5th.

I have no idea how they choose their seasonal rate dates!

We went last year on fourth of July to mk. It was very crowded. We did everything we wanted earlier in the week soo on that day we just did fast passes and a few of the rides with short lines. It was actualy a fun day. Went on about 10 differnt rides and did alot of people watching. The only bad part was getting out of the park at the end of the night. It took us about an hour.

Yep. It's crowded alright! I have been there for the past four years on July 4th. I learned to make that day a pool day at the resort. Everyone seems to clear out the next day.

We were in WDW this past 4th of July. We stayed away from MK during the day, and went to AK. Almost everything was a walk-on We had a great time! MK was full early in the day and they were only letting WDW resort guests in. We went to Epcot later in the day for dinner and fireworks. It was crowded, but not I would definitely go back to WDW for the 4th.

Right before July 4th isn't too bad (I don't know about after). We noticed the crowds really picked up on July 2nd. The good news is the week before July 4th, the park has extended hours and everything is running with a full staff. Avoid MK on July 4th. Where ever you go, GO EARLY!!

Actually,we'll be there the week before AND the week after July 4th. I figured the 4th would be outrageous at the parks so we have reservations at Discovery Cove that day! Of all places to be I thought that would be the perfect place where only a set amount of people could visit!! We can't wait to be there to celebrate the 4th of JULY!!!!!

It's a great time to visit. We really loved being down at that time.

We'll be there from the 3rd to the 11th this year. We also plan to spend the 4th at the pool and watch Illuminations from the Boardwalk area since we'll be at the Dolphin!
