How busy in October?

We found October a bit busier than we had hoped for, but not impossible. With the MNSSHP and the Epcot Food and Wine plus several big conventions there are crowds, but we found them managable. Columbus Day Weekend I would avoid, that was a very busy weekend.

It was warm enough to swim and use the water parks. Shorts and tee shirts while the sun was out. It cooled down a bit at night but we never felt the need to change into pants unless we were in the room already (we never left to get pants or needed to change in the parks). I did carry a sweat shirt for the kids but don't recall them wearing them. We are from Texas so we chill easily.

I agree with previous poster.
We were there last Oct. (our 1st trip :cheer2: ). The crowds were manageable and the weather was great! Still very warm, even HOT some days.

We went October 15 - 23, 2005. It was a wonderful trip. The weather was perfect, the crowds were managable and MNSSHP :cool1: . We were able to swim at the Resort, Went to Typhoon Lagoon with very small lines, Did all 4 parks and loved MNSSHP so much that we went back a second time. I think that it is my favorite time of year to go. Unfortunately the kids had to miss some school so it isn't a regular trip for us.

With regards to crowds it might be worth noting that in Britain we have a half term at the end of October usually for a week.

I've been there practically every month and October is my absolute favorite time to go! It was nice during the day and at night, some nights a light sweater was just enough. Loved it so much that I'm going in October again this year! YEAH!

Crowds are manageable. Last year after Wilma it got crowded .
