How busy in May?

I'll be there the 13-19!! I was there in May about 2 years ago and the week days were good-moderate crowds with the weekends busier. Just do all the smart things- get there early and use fastpass etc and it the lines shouldn't be bad.

We have been to WDW a few times at the end of April beginning of May and it has been great! The weather is good and the crowds were nothing that we couldn't handle. We would get a fastpass and use them when we could but it was never a big deal for us.

We are going the 12th -20th and I am finding that adrs seem to be booked at most places. I am hoping for low crowds but the full hotels and adrs point to crowds...

We will be in the World 5/14-5/18. I have been looking at some extended forecasts for the Orlando area and although it's been 90-92 highs this week, by the time we get there, it's supposed to cool down a bit. Highs in the lower to mid 80s with lows in the lower 60s/upper 50s. We'll see!

We just got back Saturday May 6. It did seem kind of crowded, although probably not as bad as it could be. Some of the bigger rides had lines around 60 minutes or so. We used fast passes though, so it wasn't a problem. My parents waited in the Jungle Cruise line for 1 hour or so. I'm not sure why they didn't FP that one. That was during the middle of the day or so. Dumbo and Peter Pan had long lines it seemed. This was our first trip, so it is kind of hard to gauge if it was crowded or not as compared to other times. We had a 2 year old with us who wasn't tolerant at all, so that kind of jades my opinion of "crowded" and the length of the lines.

I can say it was incredibly hot. It was in the 90's all week last week (except maybe the first couple days we were there). Couple that with my 2 year old who was clingy and only wanted me, and wanted me to hold and carry him all week - it wasn't too pleasant. Our own fault for bringing him so young though. I can't even imagine going later in the summer, it was pretty hot and crowded already.

We leave Saturday (5/13-5/19) We had no problem making ADRs about a month ago, and were hoping that May wouldn't be too crowded (our last trip was in Nov and it was not crowded at all). However a friend of mine just returned from an impromtu trip to WDW (5/3-5/7) and she said that MK was an absolute zoo, it was so crowded! However, she said that Epcot and AK were fine. She did say it was pretty hot though

I am going May 21-25 and I just called last week to make my ADR's and had no problem getting reasonable times (and I thought it was going to be a disaster since: a. it's so close to the time we're leaving and b. it's the week before memorial day weekend, hence why we're getting out of there on thursday!). Anyway, I've been in May once before (long time ago, before they even had fast passes!) and remember it wasn't too bad...Long waits in the afternoons but I plan on going to the pool then anyway! We have some friends that are going next week so hopefully they can give us a good idea of how our week is going to be the week after that!

We went with the DDP for the first time and we're really looking forward to that! Not looking forward to the possibility of crowds, but hey, a busy day @ WDW is better than ANY day at work!

We will be there 5/14-5/19 and the forecasts I have seen (weather.com and wunderground) say upper 80's to lower 90's with lows in the upper 60's. I sure hope your sources are right! I was there last week and we had a couple mid 80's days and an upper 80's and the upper 80's was waaaaay hot! I don't really care though; just happy to be there.

we'll be there May 22nd to the 30th!!!!.....Cant wait!.... its takeing forever hope its not too buisy, we went last year June 30 -July 5th and it was pretty buisy then but we survived and would do it again but we are hopeing for it to be a little quieter.....

Hey All!

We'll see you there the 14-24! I've heard that it's fine right up until Memorial. I've also seen reports where the crowds weren't too bad, but the restaurants were packed! We've always done mid-May in previous years (usually leave by the 20th, but had to push it back a little this year) and it's always been great. We never waited longer than 20 minutes or so. Hope it stays true!
