Just found out that we will be there during this time. We got the military 3 day so we cannot take advantage of the EE (going mon., tues., and wen.) so on Wen. it will be our only day without the EE so was wanting to hit Nemo FAST at opening but now i found out about the anniversary on wen. which is VERY cool we will be there for this but does it make the parks more crowded that day and do they do anything special for that day???? Also, my first time at DL and was reading on how to get to Nemo fast and am confused... looking at my map do I follow the spots (parade route) to the back of the Matterhorn or do i go though the castle or the small path on the right side??? Thanks :goodvibes

Don't got though the castle, go to the right towards the materhorn when you get to the hub.

My guess is there will be little to no bump in attendance due to a 52nd aniversery, myself.

July 17 is a Tuesday, not a Wednesay--just checked my calendar.

Probably not a huge deal this year. It's a Tuesday and not a milestone. There will be some diehards there to see the ceremony (there's always a ceremony in front of the castle on DL's B-day at 10am). Most will come for that, go on a few rides or get food or shop and leave.

Here's some explicit direction from Hydroguy about getting to Nemo 1st thing:

Directions to Nemo ride

There were CMs to direct us at certain points but no escorts. Here is the biggest advice about choosing a route:

Many people think "Nemo is in Tomorrowland" and take the right turn from the hub into Tomorrowland. Bad choice. Nemo is really in back of the Matterhorn and you want to continue thru the hub back to the Matterhorn at which point if you are early like us you take a right but if you are late the line will already be back to IASW and you will want to go left.

There are CMs there to try to give you this advice but with lots of people in transit you may not see them.

Once we got in line at the subs we could see some of the poor, desperate families making their way from the Autopia area where they were looking for the Nemo entrance (and could not find it) past us at the entrance and then unfortunately back to a line which by now was well over an hour long and probably 2+ hours at this point just a few minutes after 7AM. These people had taken the right at the Tomorrowland entrance and did not know exactly where they were going and paid the price.
