How busy are the laundry rooms at PVC?

Hello all! Going to try PVC in April for 4 nights pre-cruise. We are staying lake view so I believe we will be in Moorea which is where the laundry room is. How crowded does it get in there? If I wanted to do a couple loads of laundry, will I have to go in the middle of the night ;) ? Thanks!

They only have 4 washers at PVB so it really depends on who else wants/needs them. We stayed there last Oct and when I got there there was only 1 washer open because another guest was using 3 (and had just started them about 5 min before I arrived) so anyone arriving after me would have had to wait a whole washer cycle to start-this was in the afternoon during a nap/swim break

You can always check the Disney laundry website to see if there are machines avail (and to track your machines while there if you don't want to sit in the laundry room)

Isn't it kind of rude to take up 75% of the available washers? Is there some kind of washing machine etiquette?

Thanks for that link! I didn't even know that existed!

Being that PVB is all studios, 360 of them, you would think that they would have made a larger laundry room.

Try doing laundry like you should tour: be there at unpopular times! If you decide to take a day off from the parks, do laundry while you're at the pool during the day. I used the PVB laundry room once during the day, and I was the only one there.

I don't think so. First come, first served. If I had 4 loads of laundry and the room was empty, I'm not going to do four single loads or even two loads at a time. I'd use all four machines because I'm the only one there.

IF someone comes in five minutes later, sorry, but they can wait their turn.

I'd use them all, not feel bad about it, and if that violates some imaginary etiquette that is different from first come, first served, so be it. It's not breaking any rules.

I agree 100% with ziravan. You can check online if the washers are being used. When I stay at AKV, I camp out in the laundry room either to wait for the washer or to remove my laundry right away. Everywhere I have been, nobody has been shy about removing my laundry from a washer if the cycle was done. So, I do the same for others. The cycles are only 30 minutes.

I completely agree with ziravan

Good point. Never thought of that. Thanks!
