We are leaving in a week and while i have stayed onsite many times this is the first time camping at wdw. We have a pop up and tent. Just how buggy is it at this time of year? (obv there are variables like rain and stuff)

and how easy is it to cook on the grills at the campsites?

I use my own grill, makes me feel better for some reason. lol As far as bugs, I'm not sure. I do use bug spray at the Fort though.

Have *never* had a *bug* problem in all the years of camping at FW. Maybe we just aren't *tasty*?? I realize some people may be bothered where others aren't, but honestly, don't think we've ever seen any bugs (aren't tent campers though). Never have brought any bug spray and we've been there all seasons. :goodvibes

As for the grills, never have used them. I just tend to shy away from public grills, but that's just me. Also, I don't like the fact they are open to the elements and animals around. But, again, that's a personal issue, and I would assume they are *user* friendly. :)

I attract mosquitoes and I'm allergic to them. ^And that's how I feel about their grills too....

Bugs are there no doubt, but i wouldnt say above average amounts.

We enjoyed using the grill often. Standard 'park' style grill.

I don't think you will have a problem. Temps have been cool in Orlando in the evenings over the last few weeks. We have been to the Fort in April and June with no bug problems. We did not have a need for any bug spray or candles at either our campsite or the campfire. As for the grills, they are the standard park type grills. Just take a wire brush with you to scrape off any leftovers from other campers. Have a great time!!:wave2:

:welcome: to the DIS Camping Board!

We were at the Fort last year in March and I don't remember the bugs being bad or needing/using bug spray.

But you might want to have some on hand just in case.

I liked the grill and used it often I just wrapped the areas I was cooking on with foil. If your going to use it I suggest buying charcoal and supplies offsite.
