Blondie, Babe is most definitely an indoor dog....a big baby indoor dog!!! She doesn't like the cold or snow unless, of course someone is out playing with her!!
We have three chihuahuas, which weigh a total of about 15 pounds. What they lack in size, however, they make up for in attitude (and love ). We used to have a big ol' Heinz 57, who weighed a little over 100 lbs. The chichis used to boss her around like you wouldn't believe. She died about two years ago. Still miss her...
We have a retriever. He's never been on any of the furniture...until last week! At least that's the only time I caught him up there. LOL! Who knows if he's up there when we're out. I heard him in the living room at the sofa and quietly snuck up on him (that's a first!) He was startled when I told him to get down. Too cute! But he could easily stretch from one end to the other.
Funny you should mention that (about your Heinz 57 being bossed), our first Weim used to be terrorized by a little Daschund that lived up the road from us. She used to chase our dog all the way home!
It was comical to see this little hot-dog looking thing chasing a big old Weimaraner!
94 pounds of pure furry love! Poor thing is at the vet's today getting a tooth pulled. I have to pick her up at 5:00. The scariest thing is how much it costs to have dental work done on a dog - you don't even want to know.
I have never agreed more with a statement Blondie! Well since we have all moved in together (Mom and us) we have 5 dogs now! It is killing me that we only let them in the laundry room so far (They have a doggie door)....I can't wait till they can have the run of the house but we have to train them really well first. Did I say its killing me that they aren't sleeping in the bed with me???
Okay how big are they, not very.....
Pomeranian (mom's dog)
Shih-tzu (mom's dog)
Lhasa mine about 18 pounds
Cocker Spanial - mine about 20 pounds
Shih-tzu#2 - mine about 12 pounds
Blondie is so right about dogs. They love to be with their "pack" How many people have to spell in front of their dogs? Heaven help me if I even think about leaving the house without our dog except when we go to work. He knows that's different.
I have a 92 lb siberian Husky! When she lies on my king sized bed in the middle she pretty much takes up the bed and if you want to lie around her its pretty uncomfortable! LOL But she's my giant furball baby!
My baby is my Boxer, Samson's Revenge, Samson for short. He is a 73 pound, lean, mean, licking machine!!
At times I think I should have named him Tigger because he bounces sooo much. He can jump 7 feet in the air - vertically. Straight up. He can jump up and over my head, with only his tongue trailing behind. Longest tongue I've ever seen.
As for sleeping - I've given him a recliner and STILL he likes to sleep with me. I have a King-sized bed and he takes up the full half. Occasionally he likes to push me out - or at least, "try" to push me out.
Depending on the weather mine will spend a lot of time outdoors! But mainly if its cold or snowy! if its hot you will find her in the home on the ac vent! I'm not being cruel but I get tired of trying to make her come in so I leave her outside since thats where she seems to want to be!
6.5 lbs of pure adorable. Molly is a mix between a miniature pinscher and a larger chihuahua. A lady in the area used to breed them and a friend of ours had one. When we got married I had to have one too. She is now 8 1/2 years old and has been the best little dog. I'll have to post a picture of her one of these days.
