We will only be 5 for dinner, but I want LOTS of leftovers, so I got a 20 pounder. He was free. I would have gotten the 28 pounder if he was free.

22 pounds - 8 people - leftovers here we come.

I'll be having 32 at my house. I'm cooking a 22 pounder and my sister is bringing another 20 pounder! Now THAT'S a lot of turkey!!!! :rotfl:

Ours is a bit complicated. FOr the first time in a long time my Mom is having Thanksgiving. Its usually me. So DH is cooking an 18 lb turkey on the grill to bring to my Mom's, my Mom is cooking an 18 lb turkey at her house (we'll be having about 22 people) and I'm cooking a 16 lb turkey in our oven to keep at our house for our own "leftovers". Even though we're eating at my Mom's I'm basically still cooking a full Thanksgiving dinner for home too since my sons are home from college and want Thanksgiving leftovers to pick on all week.

I actually found a 27 pounder that I am cooking for 11 adults and 1 child.

21 pounds for 9 people, but we are also having 1/2 a ham so there will be leftovers.

25lbs of bird.......and I can hardly wait to stuff that baby......My favorite part is stuffing and all the fixings too......I will be good though and have a little bit

I go for the gravy! On everything! I hope mine is a good gravy turkey.

22 lbs. for 5 people. Love the leftovers! :cool1:

My dad bought a 21 lb. We are having 16-18 people over (2 being vegetarians). My mom is freaking out. So now we might be having ham too. :rotfl:

Wow, a lot of big turkeys! I don't think I've ever bought more than a 15 pound turkey. We usually have between 8-10 people. Youngest daughter is a vegetarian and won't even look at the turkey, and son doesn't like turkey. We always seem to have plenty of leftovers, so maybe we're just not big turkey eaters!

8 people wiht a 11lber.

No leftovers wanted.

herc.

My mil bought a 24 1/2 pounder. I believe there will be 12 of us, plus I'm going to bring a plate to my grandmother.

We actually have 2, for a total of about 26lbs. Work gave us a turkey which was about a 14 pounder. But we are having 13 people for dinner, and I want leftovers, so we got another one.

22lbs @ $.29 a lb. (I love Kroger sometimes!). This bird is only for 6 people so leftovers will be abundant!
