Is it possible to do both IOA & US in one day? :confused3
We are planning on going to US doing the following: Shrek, earthquake, Animal Planet, Jaws, ET, Twister, back in the future, Jimmy N,and maybe Fear factor.
Will we have time for all this? :confused3
Will there be extra time? :confused3
Should we buy a 2 parks one day ticket and maybe go to IOA for the last hour or two just to see around or will it be too much.
We are going in Feb. And We are planning to be there as it opens.

Personally, I would not try to "rush" a trip to UO like that, but I believe it can be done as you suggest.

All the rides you mention are in USF and, in February, you should have no trouble doing it all.

I, too, recommend against trying to do two parks in a day. Save IOA for another visit.

Well from another view point. We went to both US/IOA for the first time on our Honeymoon July 5-12. I read the DIS and got the advice to not do it in 1 day. So we bought the 5 days for the price of two tickets. Honestly, we were done with the park by 12pm both days. I really think that you could easily do both parks in one day. I wish I wouldn't have spent the extra money on the tickets or transportation to the parks that second day.

I will say that we were only two adults. I don't know how different it would have been to throw kids into the mix or to have a larger group size. But I was pretty dissapointed that we were in and out of there within 3 hours. We rode everything, went during a "peak" season and went shopping/ate.

Good Luck. I just wanted to share my experience.

this october will be my 15th trip to universal/disney.

when my kids were younger (8-9-10) we would spend 2 1/2 days at universal. we did the shows and repeats on some rides. we took it easy and window shopped in the stores. nickolodean was hot then and we would do two visits there.

when island of adventure opened, only took 2 kids and they were 10 & 11 for the year ioa opened. bought the passes for 3 days, 2 parks. we had to cram everything in.

the last 5 years, i started staying on site at hard rock. with the fotl key, we save a lot of time. at this point, we spend 3 days in the park, back and forth. we can see it all since we do not have the long line waits.

last year i went solo and spent 4 1/2 days in the parks and needed more time there. we love the rides and like to repeat them especially dueling dragons, spiderman, mummy........and, we love the shows, horror make up show as one of them...................

when we take in the shows and do a repeat on a few of them, we need an extra day in the park just for the rides.
the longest amount of time we have been in the parks have been five full days...........maybe it was a day longer than we needed, but very relaxing pace on that trip.
we hop from one park to the other in order to catch the shows.
