How big is the fridge at OKW?

In the full size units, the fridge is a full size fridge with a top freezer. We have never filled it. In the studios, it is an under counter fridge much like dorm rooms have. The freezer part of that is quite small.

What size unit are you getting? A studio has a dormitory sized refrigerator, with a small freezer compartment that really doesn't "freeze" but keeps things very cold. One bedroom and larger units have full sized appliances, including a refrigerator/freezer the size most folks have in thier homes.

the freezer is pretty tiny. Worst the ice trays it use to have are gone!!! So for ice you need to walk to the quiet pool area. (where the Free laundry mat is).

they can take a pint of ice cream (you have to force it). bottle water 20 oz size. small tv dinner (small!!!) maybe 2.

some offices have this size - we use to - go look at Sam's or Sear's

Small -

That's why we always stay in the one bedroom. We think it's the best deal on DVC. Even if we're two or three people.

::yes::

There's four of us going, in December, and I got a Grand Villa!

When it's just DH and I, we always get a one bedroom.

With that point of view, the two bedrooms are only a small increase in points (20-25% more, typically) for (approximately) an additional 50% more space. So one could argue that they are an even better value than the one bedroom....

But we all want to use our points wisely also! Sometimes you may splurge and go for larger or preferred accomodations. Other times I am sure that members would prefer to save points!

So I suppose "the best deal" in DVC could be subject to personal interpretation.

We stayed in an OKW studio in February for 2 nights and there were ice trays. Maybe they’ve removed them since. There were ice trays at our studio at SSR last August, but the ice cubes they made were Minnie-Mouse-size! We got a good laugh out of them! :rotfl:

One solution to the ice cube problem ina studio is that you can get those plastic ice cubes that you freeze and put in your drinks. Do you know the ones that I mean, plastic ones filled with some kind of liquid that freezes and they are re-usable.
