How bad is the pizza at WDW?

We had a pizza from the resort one time. It tasted like Tony's frozen pizza from the grocery store. I would say skip the pizza.

The pizza at WDW is horrible....
what we do is order by phone from Giordanos. They deliver right to your resort if you are on-site, and they have 2 locations near WDW. One in Lake Buena Vista and one in Kissimmie.

I've never had a less than excellent pizza there.

Since I make trips to Chicago just to go to the original Uno's, I am quite the pizza snob. Disney's pizza is awful IMO... you would be better off driving offsite if you really wanted pizza. :)

I would skip pizza...we order pizza way back on 1996 at the resort..never again.
We did Pizza planet, it was just ok...nothing to talk about.

I am from California and I like all kinds of Pizza. The Pizaa at WDW is generally not great. I have had some that is passable but I would never recommend pizza at WDW to anyone.

Being in NJ close to NY, I think it's ok. Not the best, but certainly not the worst I've ever had. I can eat it if I'm craving pizza. It's certainly better than cruise ships, which I can't even eat!

Okay, now I am what some would refer to as a "pizza snob". I don't mean to brag and sound like a snob, but I come from Brooklyn, NY and we have some of the best pizza in the world here! So I have extremely high standards for what I would call good pizza. How good or bad is the pizza at Disney World? Is it consistent, meaning the same in all the parks and resorts? Is there any one place where it is better than another? We are going to all 4 parks. I know the CS food choices are limited at Animal Kingdom, and one choice is Pizzafari. I am just wondering how it really is, for someone like me who expects pizza to taste a certain way. To give a better example, I can't stand Papa John's or Domino's, but I can eat Pizza Hut pizza (pan pizza only, don't know why). I do like Pizzeria Uno, but have only had it in NYC and the D.C. area. But I know that restaurant started in Chicago, another place where people take pride in their pizza and know how to make it.

What's the verdict? Should I completely avoid the pizza at WDW? I know DS would be fine with it, and possibly DH. But me, I just don't know!

I'm from Brooklyn, NY as well and the pizza and bagels are nothing like NYC pizza and bagels. Actually the cold cuts are pretty bad in FL also. But I'm used to Boars Head.

Avoid pizza in WDW unless you don't mind the small, frozen variety. I was completely disgusted by it LOL I'm a fan of L&B's pizza in Brooklyn and there's just no comparison!

Rumor has it that the best Disney pizza comes from the Godfather's pizza franchise at the Hess's gas station across from Downtown Disney.

LOL, I love Boars Head cold cuts too and it is what I am used to eating. When I went to college at University of Maryland I missed Boars Head so much, along with bagels and pizza! Chinese food too...I never get that on vacation either! Addicted to China New Star on Flatbush Avenue close to Kings Plaza.

I also love pizza from L & B, and also Original on Ralph Ave. Also the local place in my neighborhood a few blocks away. Usually on vacation I stick to steaks, seafood, burgers, fries, etc. No deli, no pizza, no bagels, no Chinese food normally.

Now, I will eat what is probably known as the most disgusting "Mexican" food when I am on vacation! I don't know good Mexican food from a hole in the wall, so much of it tastes good to me. But my friend who is from Southern California cannot stand the "Mexican" food here in NY and she really misses it from back home. For me I can eat at any chain Mexican place like On The Border and really enjoy it! Same concept I guess as my pizza thing.

I will stick with burgers, fries, maybe the fake Mexican food at some of the places like in Epcot, but no pizza or Asian food for me!

We were just talking about this and I forgot about the pizza we had at both the Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge... Flat-bread pizza style.... It is actually pretty good... not a traditional slice which I think helps it... They come frozen and they put them in a high-heat oven for just a few minutes... They make them as they are ordered... If you are dying for a slice these pizzas are really, pretty good. Nothing like what we get in NY but they will do in a pinch.. and the kids liked them too... which is good because I didn't want my kids eating chicken and fries every meal. I don't know if they have them at all the resorts but Mara at AKL and Roaring Forks at WL have them.

You have 2 different kinds of pizza at the CS at the parks/resorts. One is the round, typical pizza that tastes like the 99 cents stuff they sell in the frozen section at Winn Dixie. One is the flatbread kind of pizza which is actually pretty good (had it at Mara, Roarin' Forks and Captain Cook's).

The pizza at Spoodles boardwalk window was good IMO. Not NY-pizza good, but good enough.

Best pizza we had at Disney was at Wolfgang Puck Express in Downtown Disney.

I will have to agree, we had the flatbread at Wolfgang Puck Express and it was pretty good.

Stay far far away from CS pizzas...

I've never lived anywhere famous for their pizza, but I was underwhelmed by the pizza options at WDW in some cases, and down right disgusted in others. I found the pizza at Pizza Planet to be pretty gross and couldn't eat much of it, which is funny, because I have no problem eating frozen pizza at home so it's not as if I'm just too much of a food snob to appreciate cheap, frozen pizza. This was just particularly bad cheap, frozen pizza. The sauce on it made my stomach turn. I didn't even finish half of it!

My sentiments exactly! Absolutely the best pizza I've ever had (including Manhattan a few years back). It truly makes my mouth water every time I think about it... I'll definitely be back there in November...:cloud9:

We liked the pizza at crockett's tavern at FW....we are pizza snobs too so don't feel bad ;)
