How bad is the motion near the bow?

I am considering booking a western cruise. The stateroom that is available that will accomodate my family is a balcony about 15 staterooms from the bow.

How does the motion compare to midship? On my previous cruise, I was just forward of midship.

The only other option is a few staterooms from the aft end of the ship. I know from eating in Parrot Cay that the vibration at the back of the ship is bad so I really don't want to be there.

We had Deck 8 8002 2 back From the Front LOVED IT...

on the western Route U will Be Fine Depending ....

Of Course...

You suggest that I will be fine on the western cruise. Does that mean that the seas are normally calm. The cruise is in December so there will be no threat of hurricanes.

On my previous cruise I was in 6044. We had rough seas and we really felt the motion in our stateroom. That was the eastern cruise however.

I'm usually midship, but in Feb I was in the very first cabin forward on deck 1 - didn't notice any difference in movement. I also spend lots of time at the adult pool, which is forward on deck 9 (I'm up on deck 10 though) and again - no noticeable movement. On my HAL cruises I like the very first forward balcony cabin (no smokers blowing their stink my direction that way), which is on an upper deck - never had a problem with movement.

I wouldn't worry about it - the ships are so large and so stable, it's not a big deal. The vibrations from the aft - THAT seems to be a reality, regardless of which ship/cruise line you're on. I avoid the aft for that reason too, although someone liking "white noise" might enjoy it.

We were in cabins 2014 and 2019, cat 9 and 12, none of us ever felt any motion from the bow. I was worried about that also. We cruised back in May, things were nice and calm.
