Is sitting in the back or sides of the stands for Fantasmic Soooooooo bad? If anything I would think you could get out faster when it’s over. We have Prime Time reservations for 515PM I’m sure it will take an hour or more. So for those who got there late? Was it sooooooo bad?

Its not getting there late thats bad, because any seat is a good one (except far front where you could get wet). It is the possibility of NOT getting a seat that is bad. I would not risk it if this is your only chance of seeing this show. Our first time seeing it we sat at the very far left and it was fantastic. We have sat at every angle so far and it is all good. Do not come late, you may not get a seat.

I agree. All SEATS are good. But, we went one year and were in the standing room only area. I am 5' 3" and couldn't see a single thing. My advise, go early, grab something to eat, and relax in your seat enjoying your dinner or evening snack. Going late is definitely not worth it.

Last week we arrived at 6:10 for the 7pm show and all sections except the 2 far left sections were filled -- by 6:30 they announced standing room only..... we had to stand with a child once and it was miserable (and very hard to see).

You can purchase hotdogs, pretzels, chips, icecream, etc. inside the arena... we arrive early and eat prior to the show

I guess the question is, how late is late? We (family of 6) usually show up about 15-20 minutes prior to the show. Is the seat in the middle? No. But you can see from any place. Of course I am 6'4". It also depends on the season.

I hate sitting before Fantasmic and waiting while I could be doing fun things. Disney tells you to be there early because they couldn't handle the rush of everyone showing up all at the same time. They also make a lot of money selling concessions to the captive audiance.

Mention it to the folks at the restaurant. Especially the wait-staff. They will help move things along.

When are you going? And will there be two showings??

We are going end of April and the first 3 days we are there they have 2 showings....8:30 and 10pm.
So obviously.....you can't arrive too early for the 10pm show! It will be 9:30 by time the theatre is empty from the first.
The later show is always less crowded.
We've gone to the later show a few times and there are plenty of seats....it did fill, but there was no need for standing room only.

Ok I had to switch some days around, but I adjusted our reservation at Prime-time to 3:55 PM. The reservationist also told me that by booking at this time we will be charged lunch prices, althougt I wouldn't be surprised if they charge us dinner anyway.

This thread did bring up a curious question though. On nights when there are two shows, do they make you wait in line to enter the theater before they seat for the second show?

Last year when we went the show was full about 45 min before it started. If you get there late you may not be able to get in.

It's been a year ago since we went but at 1/2 hour before the show started I believe the stadium was full - standing room and everything. We were sitting in a handicapped area in the top row of the stadium so behind us was standing room. I would NOT want to do that, I remember looking at those people and feeling so sorry for them. I don't see how you'd be able to see much from back there and children would be miserable. If you can't get into stadium seats I'd skip it. It was a good idea to change your time :)

I agree with the others. Don't wait to long to get to the stadium. It fills up very quickly. All seats are good, I just like sitting in the front.

I think it really comes down to the time of year you're there. I've seen it be standing room only almost an hour before the show, and other times we've come only a half hour before and gotten pretty good seats.

Do they still have Fantasmic in early December? Some night activities are suspended then, but I was hoping to see that one. I was hoping it won't be too crowded at that time of year and we won't have to get there super early...
