Is it as crowded as Disneyworld? We have just decided to do a spring break so I am checkign all our options. We haven't been to DL since Nov of 2000 so we missed all the new stuff ( California Adventure etc_)we saw it being built :) and it looked great.
Any suggestions on hotels which might have availability at this late date. I checked Disney website an the onsite hotels are sold out. Is it worth staying offsite?
Thanks in advance
Toni

Hi Toni,

I'm not sure about the crowds, but my family and I (also from NJ) will be there. You might want to call or have a TA look into reservations for you. I booked the Grand Californian just 2 weeks ago.

Good luck,
Jeannie

We will also be there Easter weekend, traveling from New Jersey. I just booked a $99 kids suite at the Portofino Inn & Suites right across from the main gate. From the other posts I've seen on the boards, it sounds like a nice enough place with a good location. The price is definitely right!

Good luck!

Thank you both.I am still debating. How did you do with airfare? Is AA the only one with a direct flight from Newark?

We're flying Continental from Newark to LAX. $355 round trip....now if I can just use my miles to get moved up to first class!

Since Easter is late this year (Apr 20) - I wonder if spring breaks will be over and the crowds will be less? Anyone have any idea?

We will probably be there Easter Week as well. I am expecting it to be crowded. I have never stayed onsite and with the exception of the Grand Californian, don't see a reason too. The hotel accross the street on Harbor are as close if not closer to the main gates then the "on site" hotels. Many/Most offer breakfast (continental, some a full breakfast), which makes it convientent and cost effective.

I discovered a clue that indicate there WILL be heavy crowds. The two weeks surrounding Easter are blacked out for the So Calif AP. This tells me there will be Christmas/summer type crowds.:( I think I'm going to change my plans.
