We are on the fantasy in a couple of weeks on deck 10 in room 10114. I have read some reviews that say "Loud noise, sounded like an industrial strength vacuum" to "There was no noise in the room at all heard from above".
What has been your experience with rooms on deck 10, this room or any other on deck 10?

.

We were on Deck 10 on the Fantasy and LOVED it! So easy and quick to get to Cabana's and to get ice cream whenever we wanted. If we wanted a snack, it was super quick to get up there. Swimming, same thing. We had room 10018 and it was quiet, didn't hear anything from above.

Deck 10 is my preferred Deck. I love how close it is to everything on Deck 11! I had a balcony and appreciated the bit of overhang from the deck above as well. Some people don't like it - but I appreciated the extra shade. I hadn't really heard about the noise until reading these boards when I returned from vacation - and I couldn't remember it being that bad. Some people are more sensitive or bothered by sound than others - you'd have to judge for yourself how you react to outside noise.

Just depends on what is actually over your room. Looks like you may have overflow seating from Cabanas, next to Nemos reef. It will be busier during the day, but shouldn't have much noise early mornings or late night since people are doing other things during those times like sleeping or at dinner/show. It also isn't like builders don't realize there are rooms right underneath these public spaces and don't try and sound proof some.

We love Deck 10 forward under the Rainforest and on Starboard side. They are super quiet and we have not had the loud sound problem ever. It helps that our favorite cabin is 10500 and right next to the captains quarters and the door to the bridge. No one ever goes down that hall to the end and being below the Rainforest is also peaceful. :)

Our deck 10 room on the Fantasy (located under the starboard entrance area to Cabanas) was 10 times LESS noisy than our deck 9 Fantasy room (midship port between two stateroom decks).

A lot depends on what's above/below you, but it also depends on how noisy the neighbors (above, below, and next door) are.

I know! One time there was so much noise from the cabin next to us, I had to go over there and...

tell my nieces to settle down.

Only to find out it was actually my sons over there making the racket.

Just kidding. I really didn't hear my next door neighbors at any time. YMMV. Hard to plan for who might be next to you, unless you book with them.

HAHAHA!!! :) Love it.

I've had room 10098 twice, once fantasy, once dream. The only noise we heard was at night, not late, probably 11ish, of fairs being moved. They were probably stacking them for the night or something. It didn't last long & it didn't happen every night. It obviously wasn't bad enough for us to go down a deck the next time. We still prefer the convenience to the pools & drinks.

We usually stay deck 9 and "upgraded" to 10 for a Star Wars cruise last year. It was awful. We are back to booking deck 9. Maybe it was because we were midship but we heard noises all night. Carts rolling and cleaners cleaning. It's not that hard to climb up an extra flight of stairs.
