How bad could the walk really be at BWV?

It's downright awful. You shouldn't stay there. Especially not during food and wine festival (when the halls get even longer) or first two weeks of december. Or during the holidays, or any other time of year! Stay somewhere else instead (it will make it easier for some of us to get reservations!). :jester:

(in case it's not obvious, that's a joke! We have also stayed near the end and had no problems whatsoever, not even at the end of the day!)

I can walk 13 miles in Epcot and about every 10 feet have something different to look at or be entertained by. I can walk the length of the hallway at BCV and look at the same carpet pattern over, and over, and over, and over. It's all perception.

When you finally get there, you get to visit your cramped room. :p

I own at OKW, but have stayed at BWV(gasp!!!!! ) and don't find the halls to be terribly troublesome. I am a reasonably healthy 41 year old female.

I would guess that if you needed to have a shorter walk for medical reasons, they would accomodate you by placing you in a room closer to the main lobby.

Once you have stayed at AKL at the end of one of THOSE halls, you'll never complain about BWV again! (THREE times we've been at the very end of one of those AKL hallways... and they go uphill!)

LOL! Yeah, the hall is longer when you can't walk a straight line!

funny jmminarik!

... and they go uphill!
you forgot the "When I was a kids ... both ways in the snow!" LOL

That wasn't me...I spent my time walking the halls examining the carpet patterns trying to see when they repeated and if I could find the seams. Kinda like looking out the windows when I was a kid driving a whole gosh-aweful long 1 hour and 30 minutes while we drove the shore. :)

Soory Joe, I didn't take the time to be clear. I was LOL at a couple of posts.

Yeah the ride through the Pine Barrons was a killer.

I'm with Disney Doll---also have OKW as my Home resort and I'm also 41 !
We just stayed at BWV in room 4131 and had just about as long a walk as I think you can have there. True, it was a hike, but it didn't bother us really. Would I prefer to have a room closer to the elevator---yes, but I'd still stay there again even if they gave me a room at the end.

During our trip last month we stayed at BWV before OKW - we requested a room close to the elevator for my mother. We were assigned a room about as far away as you could get (I could reach out and touch MGM I think). For me this is not a problem - I usually use the stairs, so it was a few doors down, but my mother would not have been able to make it back and forth to the elevator without one of us pushing her int he wheelchair. Luckily we were reassigned a room closer (but had to wait for the room - not a problem).

My wife and I had the farthest one bedroom last year and we loved it. After a long day we were in the living room and from the couch we could see fireworks from spectromagic out one window and fireworks from illuminations out the other side. where else can you see both sets from the comfort of a couch.

But just curious Larry.....would you have loved it just as much if you had a view of say, the parking lot (such as we did) ? Our room was only two rooms away from the end and we could see the valet parking lot from our couch (we were charged preferred points for this too). I think the view you had would have made me forget about the walk too.

Use the time to find all the hidden Mickeys!
There are at least 4 different hidden mickey's in the carpet at BWV. I think there maybe more, I forget our final count. :)
Some are more subtle than others.
