will be HRH on halloween & want to go to HHN...have two kids plus hubby....

will be starying there from 10/30 thru 11/1.....

want to go on 10/31..

am I crazy?
and is there anyplace I can get discount coupons from?

from NJ
also, when should I get tickets

thanks

I suggest you buy your tickets now, because if you show up on the 30th and plan on getting them they'll be gone. The 31st is usually sold out by the 2nd week of HHN's.

Also that being said the 31st will be sold out which means you will be in a madhouse crowd of people. You can expect 2 hour lines, and find yourself pushing your way through the crowds to get around the park.

That is how it was on 10/5/02 when I went at Opening Weekend and opening Weekend and Halloween are the same type of crowd.

It will be very busy, BUSY.

Buying tickets in advance is always a great idea. I do recommend a VIP tour, because you will not see a line on tour.

Opening weekend tends not to be as busy as the last weekend, but since Halloween is a weekend this year, it will be nuts.

So what is it like on Nov 1 then? Do you think it will be as packed at Halloween night? We're going up on Nov 1, hoping it would be a little less crowded!

I expect Nov 1 to be very busy, as it will be the last night, and it's on a Saturday.

It will probably be busy, being last weekend and a Saturday.

Good luck.

I've been going on halloween night for about 4 years now and it is always crowded and this year it being on a friday, I expect it will be more so. expect long lines. what we do is go on two different nights so we can see it all. if your going on halloween better order your tickets now because they do sell out. I got mine as soon as they went on sale and if you have an annual pass mention it for a discount.

Also, it is REALLY scarey. I'm in my 40's and it is just about more than I can stand on the scare factor. it wouldn't be so bad if the monsters didn't jump out at you in the dark fog. (shudder) and I've found the secret to getting the monsters to leave you alone is to remain calm and smile alot. anyways, have fun! I will be there with my DD (age 21) this is an annual mom /daughter event for us. we do Mickeys party on the 30th. its fun too. Linda

P.S. Don't miss the Bill & Ted show!

Definitely busy. Make sure you get to buy express passes if you can. It will be so much better for you.

you need 2 nights to get through all of the houses on peak nights.at least 2 hour lines at every house.

I will say I have been going to HHN on a sold out peak night EVERY year now. Halloween sold out is going to be no different that a Sat peak night a week before Halloween. I also wanted to state that I have NEVER missed a house either any year I have gone. I start at 7pm and go till its closed. The longest I have EVER had to wait is 70 mins for a house. It can be done. I even have done other houses multiple times.

Basically if you bucle down and really want to do it you can. I also dont concentrate on the rides. Go to IOA during the day, ride the rides. Then you can spend the night worrying about the houses and shows.

One other reason why I never had problems, I dont drink, so i dont waste my valuable haunted house time in line for a beer.

If you have any question, PM me and I would be glad to assist you. I plan on being there Halloween night this year.
