How are Tier 2 seats at HDDR? Either taking those or not going, won't pay OOP...

We have ressies for HDDR. First I got Tier 3 but I called back and got Tier 2. I still have both ressies. We're are on the DDP and we won't pay OOP for this. We aren't really worried about using 2 credits on the show at all, but if the seats aren't good, we'll just do something else. From the seating chart, tier 2 doesn't seem all that much better than tier 3. It looks like some tier 2 seats are actually in the balcony?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We actually went to the Hoop De Doo Revue in 2005 before the tiered seating! We sat in the table in the way back closest to the door. It was not close to the stage...but the show was great non the less. They come out and mingle with you before during and after the show...so even the people in the back and on the balcony have a good view of the entire show!! Have fun...me personally dont think there really is a huge difference. We sat in the front row last year in the table closest to the stage...and thought the table in the back got a better "show experience"! At any rate...have a fabulous time!!:cool1:

DD23 and I had Tier 2 seating through DDP and it was fine.

Closer is not necessarily better at HDDR. We went last year before tiered seating began, and had the table in the front right next to the piano player. It was fun, but it was LOUD, and our view was pretty much right up the actors' noses throughout the whole show. We could also see their microphones hidden in their hairpieces and costumes. We loved the show but I would have preferred seats a little farther away from the stage. I think Tier 2 seating would be great. If you have not seen the show before, don't miss it! I've heard there are no "bad" seats in the house.

Excellent! Thanks!

You need to get rid of one of those ressies. If you don't your cc will be charged for the one you don't use. Also, give sommeone else a chance.

I'm in the minority but for us, unless we're up close, we don't think the show is worth the bother or 2TS. We sat toward the back on the first floor once. Our boys couldn't see alot of the show and it just wasn't worth it. Last year we were on the front row and loved it -- could see everything and it was fun. The food isn't good wherever you sit, so that leaves only the show to make it worth your while. We won't go anymore unless we sit Tier 1 and pay OOP. Thank heavens the boys said they're not interested in seeing HDD review this year!

I've predominantly done Tier 1 seating (before it was categorized). On my last trip, all I could get was Tier 2 due to late planning. I was worried the show would be terrible and I had been so spoiled all the other times with front seating.

But you know what? It was absolutely fine. I enjoyed the show as much as I did with the Tier 1 seating.

Already did. Was waiting to see if anyone recommended Tier 3 over Tier 2. I'd never hold a ressie longer than a day or so. :)

I've posted this before, but since relevant I'll do it again here -- on our last HDDR experience we were up in the balcony (don't think it was tiered yet)... and wound up with a neat little bonus experience:

Mac (my DS) found himself a new buddy. :thumbsup2

Total hijack but uncleservo is that you on jeopardy?! I love that show but haven't been able to watch it much recently. Has that episode been on yet? if not do you know when, I'd like to watch it! That's so cool!

tricia.

We had that EXACT same table last trip. I hated it because we were so close to the stage it was hard to take everything in.

The time before that we were upstairs to the right of the stage and thought it was a decent seat.

Thank you! Yes, that is me on Jeopardy -- I'm the one on the right, btw. :lmao:

My episodes aired on July 13th & 14th of last year. Won the first day (largely thanks to divine intervention in the form of a 'Disney Film Voices' category in Double Jeopardy) but crashed & burned something awful the second. Still got to finally visit Disneyland afterwards, so no complaints about the trip!

Anyway, back on topic... from my personal experiences at HDDR, I'd be hard pressed to find ANY bad seat in the house.
