How are they different?

Rain Forest Cafe at DTD and AK. My kids want to eat at one and we are going with a Family that has only eaten at DTD. How is the one at AK different that DTD? I know the food is the same, but what about the design?

RFC are pretty much the same everywhere. The one at AK has a larger shop but I'm going by memory here. It's been three years since I've eaten there.

One big difference, you can make PS at the RFC at Animal Kingdom up to 90 days in advance by calling WDW Dining. You can only call a day ahead for the one in DTD and you have to call the restaurant directly.

I'm sure others can tell you the differences but I just don't think there is except for the PS policy.

I've never noticed a big difference between any of the RFC (at DTD, AK, Dallas, or anywhere else they are located). They're all pretty much the same =)

DTD was not originally built as a Rainforest, they worked it into an existing building, but I don't think anyone can tell the difference if they didn't know.

We have done both, and I felt much more rushed at DTD. They do have walk up crowds there that AK doesn not get.

About PS........one year our group of 10 could not get reservations via Disney. Called RFC direct about a month out and only got them because I hold a Safari Club Card. This also gave us 10% off our meal. Card has paid for itself ($10 fee - years ago) over and over again. Good at all Landry restaurants.

The two are almost identical as far as decor and menu options. The one at AK seems less crowded and is easier to get PS's for.

If you have never been to one before rest assured your kids will love it!!! It can get quite loud at times, but it's a neat experience and the food is great!!!
