How are the stroller rentals at Magic Kingdom?

They look pretty uncomfortable but I am wondering will DS (5) notice too much of a difference?

I read to bring a towel, is that necessary? He won't be in it too long anyway just when he gets really tired.

We love the WDW Double strollers...though we are a few years removed from stroller age we used the Double Storller for both DS's. they roll pretty easily and manuver great. Also easy for the kids to get in and out of.

The last time we used one DS9 (DS5 or 6 then) in one side...coolers and junk on the other.

Only downfall is that they are much more expensive now.

We love all the Disney strollers. I'd recommend a double though. It's much easier for a kid to stretch out and get comfy. DS was 5 on our last trip. He was very comfortable kicked back with his drink and his misting fan! And it gives you more room to put your stuff.

My kids never complained about them being uncomfortable. They were just happy to be sitting! We never did the towel thing either.

The disney strollers push so easy even with a lot of weight in them. The biggest downfall is the ridiculous price they are charging now. Last year after the increase, I purchased a second maclaren rather than renting a double. We went for 10 days so the double stroller rental would have been almost $300!

If you don't mind the price though, renting is great for an older kid!

We've rented them before and they worked out okay, but our daughters did grump a bit about them being hard. It was only an issue, though, when they were really tired and would have preferred to lounge. On our last trip I was convinced to rent from an off-site company so we would have use of the stroller at our hotel as well (our 4 year old tends to "quit" when she's tired!) and we loved it. We got a double stroller from Orlando Stroller Rental and the experience was great. I'll never rent from Disney again. I think for the week it was like $90 and the Disney double would have been like $170something.
